I only play in one or two FFL's per season. I try to keep it very low stakes (like 20 bucks per league). I love watching football. I can watch any two teams play. I used to get consumed by FF and it was ruining the enjoyment of the game for me.

I would gladly run a league on Yahoo, and handle the bank. No worries. I also agree about a standard scoring system. I'm not into awarding bonuses for every damn thing under the sun.

If I ran it, it would be an 8-10 max league (fuck having 12 players in it).

I could begrudgingly go up to 40 bucks I guess.

Ronoh, if that is acceptable, I'll start one up later this afternoon. (morning is going to be busy).

Been there but went the opposite route, I gave in. Per professional football I have given up on my lifelong team and if it wasn't for fantasy football, sportsbooks and my football pools I would probably find something else to do on Sundays other than watch the games. As a result I love the game more than I ever have in my life and am so much happier. College football has my "unconditional love" for the game itself... the NFL = full out degenerate ;)

Alright, that's four of us so far. It never ceases to amaze me, starting at CT and continuing here, that in a community of folks who love to gamble (many of whom take it to the GAMBOOOOOL level) there is so little interest in anything that isn't poker related. We can find 20 degens to throw a Benny on a random flip from 1000 miles away but anything else is mostly ignored. I just don't get it!:eek:o_O:D

Do you want me to run/bank the league? I know a few guys at HPT that might be interested? maybe get them over here as well.

I have the league about half set up and I got busy. I'll have time to finish it tomorrow (hosting a game tonight and have to start getting ready).

I will likely be in too. Which platform - CBS, Yahoo, or ESPN ?

I vote for an automatic draft - less work and more random.

Would love for you to run/bank the league but I would prefer to keep this one in house... I do a few PRO leagues on Yahoo (all randoms) and would rather just do another of those than a half PCF/half random(to me) league.

It's actually more work for anyone not using whichever site's default order (then again I already put in the grunt work on my ever-evolving list)... I'm not a fan of autodraft.

Aside from getting people involved the biggest hurdle is a draft time everyone can agree to so maybe we should start getting a feeler... generally I am good any day after 7pm EST. I prefer weekend and can probably make any time on Sat/Sun work.

I am in. 40 is fine with me, ok with more as well. Also open to the idea of a per add/drop cost, like .50 or a buck. Easy way to get a little more money in the put at the end of the year, no biggie either way.

I also am a fantasy football junkie. I love everything about it, especially the draft. Two of my leagues went to auction draft a while ago, and while it would be tough to work online with this crowd, any of you that enjoy fantasy should definitely try it. The snake draft has its charm, but auction draft is a shit ton of fun with a group of buddies, plus it is more apt to reward someone who puts some thought and effort into a strategy...

As far as draft day goes, I have drafts on:
Sunday, 8/23 (but could draft with us that evening)
Monday, 8/24 the whole evening
Friday, 8/28 all evening
Plus one more that is tbd, but even then I could do both drafts if it happens to be the same day.

Sunday, September 6th, 7pm
That works for me but being so close to the first game I'd like to request free agents be immediately available after the draft instead of going through the waivers process (standard waivers the rest of the year of course)

Also, I like Yahoo the best, just my .02.

What is waiver order, reverse standings?

ppr or no ppr? I like ppr.

Oh, and a slot for idp or no?

So do I although the page format of their draft room this year is so, so bad

Don't care either way

1/2point PPR > no PPR > full point PPR

NO!

My preference is
QB
WR
WR
WR
RB
RB
TE
FLEX (WR/RB/TE)
K
D

7x bench

Open to slight changes (no flex, etc) but no defensive players

Agree about the draft room not being very friendly, it's horrible. It seems like yahoo makes one change a year to an otherwise solid product that makes you wonder why they changed the old way that worked.

Good with .5 point ppr, that gets my vote.

Reverse order of standings for waiver order always felt fair to me.

Like your line up/bench slots, and I'm ok with not having an idp (i play leagues both ways), but I'm curious why you don't like the idp? People generally love it or hate it I've found.

Individual defensive player. Everybody would also draft/start a defensive player like jj watt or Luke kuechley, then you get points for tackles, sacks, tds, etc. It's really just a way to get more scoring because there are so many players that score it's hard to not have a good player on your roster. Linebackers are usually the highest scoring (most tackles), so a line backet from a team with a bad offense is valuable.

fuck the IDP.

Honestly, I'm not into voting and shit on setting up the points structure for a league. Can't make everyone happy. I'll do it my way, post everything tomorrow. If there is something that the majority absolutely hates then we'll tweak it.

I was just throwing ideas out, I guess I didn't really follow the thread closely and realize that you said you where going to run it and it's going to be your way. I had in my mind that ronoh started the thread and we where getting ideas for what everybody preferred in a league. I find your response odd that you volunteer to run it then say how it's going to be with no input.

I don't even care about the rules, I love football and that love extends to any sort of fantasy game, but honestly (and respectfully) what i'm not into is someone telling me how it's going to be in that sort of way. Count me out, I don't think I would mesh welll with that kind of attitude, but good luck to all and have fun!

misread the tone, sorry. Just saying that I'll set it up how I normally do, a basic, kind of standard scoring FFL system and set it up from there. Then tomorrow I'll post the scoring rules and if there is something that the majority hates we can change it.

In my experience its a disaster trying to make 10 people happy. Didn't mean to come across as an ass.

I only offered to run it, and control the bank because ronoh asked someone else to do it. I have no problem passing the torch and letting someone else handle. No worries at all. Less responsibility the better, lol.

For the record I didn't ask if someone else wanted to "run it", asked if someone else wanted to bank it ;)

Honestly there should be no running of the league, it's not like we need an acting commissioner to make any type of decisions throughout the season. Aside from setting it up and making end of the year payouts the league runs itself. If it's an issue for anyone (and apparently it might be) just go with 100% standard scoring/rules/rosters and tweak from there, no reason to put in anything no one asks for.

Matter of fact, to be done with the whole thing I've set it up... took all of 90 seconds ;) Everything is standard except I have made players FAs immediately following the draft due to the draft date being so close to the first game. If anyone wants tweaks please request them and we will go with the majority.

If DD still wants to bank, or anyone else if he's not interested, that is fine. Otherwise we will use the honor system, $40 to be paid after the season ends.

I vote for waiver priority to be standard yahoo. Reverse of the starting draft order and then rotating throughout the year depending on wh made the last waiver claim. If I'm fighting for a playoff spot and have both running backs go down id like a realistic chance of picking up one of their backups. The rest of the settings I'm good with whatever yiu decide.

OP has been updated with current league info. Any requests prior to this post and nullified, please re-request according to rules stated in OP. Thanks

Again to make sure everyone is aware, I'm not saving spots... please join using the link in the OP. And please use your PCF name as your team name. Thanks
