I'm going to be running a league on ESPN for anyone from PCF that is interested in playing. It'll be a 10 person league, $50 to enter. Standard scoring and lineups.

PM me for details - I'm collecting payments up front via PP, and once you've paid I'll supply the league name and password. We'll pay the teams in the championship game and a small cash award for the highest point total in a single game throughout the regular season.

(You must have at least 100 posts to play, and if I don't know you I may ask for a PCFer that can vouch for you).

Good luck!

LOCKUP LIST
1) Bergs (PD & Joined League)
2) Chippy (PD & Joined League)
3) Slisk (PD & Joined League)
4) LabMonkey (PD & Joined League)
5) Kirchhausen (PD & Joined League)

We're doing a 12 person league - have a spot open for 1 more ballah. See post #38 for details.

We're taking backups in case someone doesn't pay and drops out - reply in this thread if interested.

Bumpity bump bump. Come on people I know there are more than five of you degens who want to play fantasy football. Don't be a freaking nit.

Damn, must sent payment but I can't do Thurs night. I leave for work at 930 pm. I am on vacation the next week tho.

For me it must be before Aug.26. I'll be in AZ the week before but after I'm half way around the world. Time of day isn't a major concern. Aug. 21 is out - dad's 80th birthday bash.

I'm registered. Just had a look at the league settings... I've never played a league where your defense gets/loses additional points on yards allowed. Looks like points gained for points given up is dumbed down quite a bit because of it, I would guess this makes team defense less meaningful than what I am used to as "standard". Don't care in the slightest :)

One thing I DO care about is the waiver order settings... of course you can run it however you like and I'll play with whatever settings but waivers are a game changer. It's currently set as "inverse standings" which means the guy in last place has the first WW pick every week. It takes a bit of strategy out (as in skipping waivers entirely for a week to move up on the list, etc) and can ultimately make someone who drafts poorly a BIG team. Last year the commish of my big league decided against my warnings to try out the inverse standings method... the guy who ultimately won the league by beating me in the Championship game had a terrible draft and ended up with Devonta Freeman, David Johnson, Doug Baldwin, Thomas Rawls for his big stretch in the last months and a couple other guys I'm forgetting. He reeled off six straight wins to tie for 4th and made the playoffs on points and it was all due to waivers. On the bright side the commish was 1st on deck to say "never again" :D

I play almost all of my leagues on Yahoo, I'm very surprised to see ESPN sets the standard as inverse standings

Interesting - I've had that happen a couple of times, but it was savvy owners that play the waiver wire well. What normally happens is that it helps keep the badly drafted (or more importantly, injury prone) teams competitive.

I like the way defenses are scored - I played in a league last year where defenses were the number 1 scorer and it sorta killed the league for a lot of us.

Let me look into the waiver wire situation and we'll open it to a vote once the league is filled.

I can be bought.
Sounds good. We can't play for substantially more than the actual FF participants are playing for or we'd have to worry about potential match fixing. :whistling:

I would worry. Damn FF players. They are worse than Russian tennis players. ;)
