a few years ago I remember seeing pictures of a $10-$10 NL game and wanting to play in a game with mountains of chips. Well, $10-$10 is super easy to scale down and I'm looking for some advice as I'm planning a CPC hot stamp cash set.
A $1-$1 - $200 max game with a beautifully even $8k bank
800 - $1s
160 - $20s
40 - $100s
8 person table would be:
Starting stacks:
100 - $1s
5 - $20s
Leaving 10 - $20s for next 12 buy ins and the 40 $100s to cover almost anything
10 person table would be:
Starting stacks:
80 - $1s
6 - $20s
Leaving 10 - $20s for the next 10 buy ins and the 40 $100s to cover beyond that
For 9 people I would give 100 1s to most and 80 1s to the others to get the full 800 on the table to start.
I would love opinions on the positive and negative side as I haven't played a game set up like this and worry about it being too unwieldy with the amount of chips. I think the balance is really strong and love the idea of barrels with a single higher chip that is equal to one barrel.
Thoughts? Would a game like this appeal to you or should I go the $5 standard chip route?
