Sold Windwalker Dollar Sale #9: ESPT Hundos (1 Viewer)

I’ve decided to thin out some of the chips I definitely won’t use, have extras of that are lying around, or will probably never be part of any set I put together, and so will be doing a series of “dollar sales”.

This sale is for 3 racks of pristine, mint ESPT hundos. Each rack is $1, max one rack per buyer.

Instead of doing a random drawing for this sale, I am asking whoever is interested in buying a rack to link their single favorite post from this site along with their “in” or “interested”. For example:

The post can be anything. Instructional, funny, off-topic, a rant, a rave, whatever. Just something you enjoy reading and going back to, because it’s meaningful or relevant to you. I thought this might help unearth some of the more popular / interesting posts on the site, since there is no timeframe from which the post has to be, either.

I will pick my top 3 favorites from the links and give the right to purchase to the posters of those links.

For the noobs, the icon to copy the URL to a single post can be copied by clicking on the share icon at the top of any post, or by clicking on the post number, and then copying the url from the address bar.

- Not a dibs sale.
- Your reference link must be an individual post, not a forum or thread.
- If more than one person posts a link that I choose, I’ll do a drawing from within that group of posters
- I will leave the sale open for entries until midnight PST on Friday.
- Asshat clause applies

Price: $1 shipped per rack. CONUS only.
International buyers: $1 per rack plus shipping.

This post is of personal relevance to me, because in 2016 I was having a severe case of burnout, and I'd stopped coming to PCF for months. A local friend (@ni9n3r) reached out privately to nag me into signing up for SQM again, and the response I got from @k9dr and many others made me remember what I liked about this crazy group in the first place.

Five years later I'm still here, and I haven't missed an SQM since!

Since a fair number of people keep posting links to entire threads and not specific posts, I thought I’d repost the criteria from the OP:

- Not a dibs sale.
- Your reference link must be an individual post, not a forum or thread.
- If more than one person posts a link that I choose, I’ll do a drawing from within that group of posters
- I will leave the sale open for entries until midnight PST on Friday.

Thread 'SOLD: Nevada Jacks 950pc Tournament Set'
https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/sold-nevada-jacks-950pc-tournament-set.40256/

I learned how to play poker when the boom started in 2003 with Moneymaker winning the WSOP. I was 13 at the time and joined Chip Talk to look up the best of the best chips. These were my favorite at the time. I remember thinking it was outrageous to pay the 70-80 cents per chip that I believe they were going for at the time. It was nice to see this set several years later.

IN. there are so many informational threads that have helped make me a better chipper. I appreciate all of them, but I think the best threads are the ones that poke fun at our crazy and never ending obsession for all things related to chipping. One example is:

'Things you didn't expect to learn when you started chipping'
https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/things-you-didnt-expect-to-learn-when-you-started-chipping.59892/
In, again. Many of the posts are funny in this thread, https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...-when-you-started-chipping.59892/post-1168506.

I immediately thought of this post/thread from @nitzilla. I've referred others to that thread & video several times before.

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/and-people-think-were-crazy.14514/

It's a short 5 minute video, but worth the watch. See, we're not so crazy for collecting poker chips after all.

And--interested! Thank you.

[Edit - just to clarify, my nomination is just for the original post in the thread, not the entire thread.]

Interested.

Post I’m linking is the OP (followed the directions? but can’t seem to save the link to the OP only). Custom chips created to commemorate his wife’s battle with cancer - sent to chippers all over free of charge. Thread created in Dec. 2016, and OP still responded over two years later and sent chips to both me and my chipper-in-training daughter.

Haven’t had a chance to post a picture with the chips yet, but hopefully this summer when I finally get to go on vacation. —> this maybe should disqualify me

Some very cool pics posted in the thread posted by others, however.

Fuck Cancer.

I'm going to share a few of the breakdown posts I've gone back to time and again, but I'll pass on the drawing as I feel like I've had enough chipping run-good, am happy to let the giveaways go to others.

One of @BGinGA's many great posts, this one logically explaining what makes a breakdown ideal, including color-ups: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/12-12-5-6-vs-8-8-8-5.55276/post-1063794

@inca911's 320/320/200/300/200/100 breakdown post, which is how I allocated my BTP tourney set: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/custom-tournament-set-chip-quantities-help.26471/post-489547

@berg's post on limit set breakdowns: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/limit-chip-breakdown-advice.11663/
