Vegas Trip Report - Super Low Roller - 6/15/23 - 6/20/23 (1 Viewer)

Boarding my flight to Vegas tonight... landing around 11 pm, and we're staying at the Flamingo. Going with a group of non-degen friends, so they have a lot planned in terms of clubbing, bars, and trendy restaurants. This means gambling won't be a huge focus... but maybe I can sneak out and degen by myself during off-hours :ninja:. Favorite casino games is craps and of course, poker. Praying for a sun run!

If I do end up playing poker, not sure what room I'll play at. Looking at Caesars (harvest $2's? do they still have inlayed $1's?), Horseshoe, and Venetian.

hopefully Thursday isn't too bad? Honestly didn't think about check-in lines... too used to airbnbs and just rolling up to the pad

Never checked in to Flamingo but everything at LINQ and Harrah's was digital, went pretty quick.

Wasn't a chipper when I played poker at Planet Hollywood but I had a lot of fun there. Some nightclub lite vibes with the music and the clubbers walking by.

OTOH craps at PH was a major buzzkill- unfriendly table and high minimum. I ended up playing at LINQ, much friendlier players and dealers and $15 minimum.
 
Starting the weekend with some run bad.

Flight delayed 1.5 hours... and Southwest lost my bag. Luckily not much of value was lost, just 2 bottles of cheap alcohol and a pair of sandals. Landed at 12:30 am, arrive at Flamingo 1:30 am.

@Quicksilver-75 was right about the Flamingo check-in... There were digital check-ins, but they were all down. Pictured below was maybe a dozen groups ahead of us. We didn't check in til 2 hours later. It was indeed a nightmare, never going back to Flamingo again.

At least we rewarded ourselves with some White Castle (though maybe some may consider this a punishment?). White Castle ain't all that and a bag of potato chips IMO, very underwhelming.

Finally heading to bed at 5:30 am... Not even sure if I'm gonna be up in time to go to the chip show :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:
 
Sorry to hear that. I had hoped they had corrected those issues but....fwiw, those automated check-in kiosks have NEVER worked. Like, in 7 years. It's pretty sad. The Flamingo royally fucked me over after I reserved a top floor suite 6 months earlier. When we arrived we were told it wasn't available and were given a basic two bed room. Happy Honeymoon!

Wow. I almost booked Flamingo for my last trip... just so happened they were a little more expensive than LINQ. Bullet dodged.

5:30am White Castle is pure Vegas energy though. It's gonna be a good trip!
 
Y'all need to make sure you spend an hour or two at the pool. I know it's WSOP, but that's why you gotta balance your Vegas Views ranges.

From the sounds of it, @quintooo is gonna be pooling/lounging/bubblepartyclubbing.

No one wants to see BodyByBarrie doing that, but who knows what the future holds.

No party plans for today. Tomorrow will be day club, I believe Zedd, some dinner reservations, and 2Chainz at night. Today is my "degen" day... as soon as I get some cash :ROFL: :ROFLMAO: Forgot to grab my cash wad on the way out of SJ. Damn debit card has a $200 limit and spent at the chip show.

I always liked MB but just never make it down that far on the strip. I did go there last trip for Stripsteak - the rib cap was incredible, and I bagged a few X on the craps tables as well before dinner.

Keep the gambol coming!

Awesome, just hmu if needed.

I ran $200 to $2k at roulette, but now every time we walk by in or out I throw another black on a number and lose $100
