Well, it's pretty hard to imagine anyone would turn down say a billion USD in exchange for their entire chip collection.

Of course it's equally hard to imagine anyone offering that amount for chips, but my point was that I believe there exists a number, even if it's outrageously high, for almost every person/set.

Full disclosure, any six-figure offer would take my entire collection.
I'm curious, how many chips are we talking? How many years collecting? How big is the collecting market for poker chips? I have 0 chips new to forum.

A popular opinion, but I don't think it's true.

I don't think my Casablanca $1s are going anywhere until after I'm gone. But perhaps someone with really deep pockets should try me, just as an experiment. For science. Yeah, that's the ticket. Certified funds only...

I'll build you a custom Poker Chip-Themed PC that's water cooled and has flashing doohickies, cause I know you can't resist that kinda trade!

IIRC, I made that same $100K offer a while back, and didn't get taken up on it.

I dunno -- every now and then you read a story about someone hitting a lottery for 50-100 million, and their lives being absolutely destroyed as a result.

We're retired, and we travel as much as we want to. We're not rich by any means, but I have a hard time envisioning what we would do with a whole s**t-pot of money that would actually make our lives any better. A bigger house and more expensive cars wouldn't do it. And you can buy companionship, but not love or friendship.

Maybe with a life-threatening condition, that perspective might change...

I am very excited about the new features. The bookmarking will be useful and will clear up my google bookmarks considerably. Will you be able to organize them by order or into named folders/submenus?

$1,000.00.

Done, thanks!

Overall I agree with the sentiment above that money doesn't buy happiness or love or friendship. However, if someone offered me a lottery-sized windfall, an amount where I would never have to worry about things like college tuition or medical expenses, for my children (and their children and their children), I'm going to take my chances in regards to my life being destroyed by a sudden influx of wealth.

I'd certainly take a billion. More realistically, $150,000 would probably get the job done. PP/FF, free shipping.

More money always makes you happier. Fact of life. Up to a point of course

I dunno man. I took a shot at the 75/150 O.E. limit game at Foxwoods a gazillion years ago (was a 20/40 limit player at the time) and it was the most miserable table I ever sat at.

All these guys owned construction companies, etc. and not one of them was happy. They're all sitting there with 10-15 grand in front of themselves and nobody tipped, not even a stinking dollar. It was disgusting. The entire time they swore at one another, berated the dealers.

Then you sit in a 2/4 limit hold em game and everyone's smiling and laughing. I guess ignorance IS bliss :p

Ah yeah I wasn’t clear at all.

I work a government job that’s pays reasonably, but not amazing. I leave at 3:15 everyday and I’m pretty happy overall.

Give me another $20k for no extra effort and I’ll take it and be happier. Offer it on the proviso that I work till 5:30 and I’ll say no.

Money on its own doesn’t make you happy. Living life is what’s fun, but living that exact same life but with extra cash will always be better

Rinse, repeat

True for most, I suspect -- children are a special consideration, but one that we don't have.

@bentax1978 .. still haven't received payment yet.. :whistling:
please note, with the money I will be purchasing GPI (and / or Angel Holdings) and pivoting the company.
The new direction will be chips made exclusively for the Home Market and Sunken ship casinos... so yeah, it's for a good cause

Looks like I had some issues with the PayPal payment.

How about you send me a Western Union payment for $500,000, and then I'll just reply back and send a payment of $1,001,000,000 with an extra million for you, and you can keep the extra half-million for your trouble. Sound like a plan?

The exact number is irrelevant, sometimes a secret (from wives, other collectors, the IRS, etc.), and sometimes not even known to the person. :sneaky: You will get to a point soon that you just buy MOAR because you like chips...and MOAR is always better  :ROFLMAO:
