I had a situation a week or so ago playing a single table sit n go online. Defending my BB with 10 9dd from a 3X raise by the cutoff. Hit an OESF draw on the flop, K high straight on the turn, then improve to a K high straight flush on the river to beat villain’s rivered quad Kings. That’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to a Royal Flush and it’s only the second straight flush I can ever remember making. I’ve never hit a royal so started thinking about how many times others have gotten there.

I don’t play poker as much as some here and was away from the game for a few years so that helps explain somewhat why I’ve never hit one.

What about you fine folks of PCF?

Wasn’t sure which forum section to post this.

I've hit two royal flushes. One live, one online.

The live one was a gut shot that I rivered.

Yeah I figured that those who play the Omaha variants are more likely to have hit one before

I caught a steel wheel at @manamongkids game (which won the high hand bonus for the night, but only a pot of four bucks, I think) but I’ve never made a royal. At least not live.

Have had 2 in holdem, and have been at the table for one other when someone hit. Got a $500 table share out of a jackpot for that one. I don't think I ever had one in all the years before I started playing holdem.

NLHE: two live, at least 3 or 4 online. Hit a steel wheel two weeks ago live, the latest of several.

For me, quads are more elusive live than straight flushes, go figure.

0....but speaking of quads, a few weeks ago in our game we had 4 sets of quads hit. 2 different players each made quads twice.

Best one I hit was getting it in first hand of a 500(ish)man final table with A2ss while shortstacked in the BB to find myself up against AA and the board brought my four broadway spades. Ended up winning the tournament.

I have had 3 live, 1 using both hole cards. Had a good sized pot in 1 of them, the others were barely worth it.

I dont really remember how many I have made online, possibly none.

I've had 2 straight flushes at HE, 1 royal, and a king high straight flush last night on the board.

I've hit a Royal twice live in our NLHE home game, and a straight flush once. I don't play online, so nothing there

Quads are rare. I don't recall hitting quads, but I've been busted by them...

Two live. Both were using both whole cards, on both I flopped it, both with hearts and both within 2 months of each other.

In approximately 11 years of playing holdem about once a week on average (sometimes more, sometimes less) I've hit exactly zero royal flushes. I've had I think 4 straight flushes, and quads at least 40 times. (I once flopped quads twice in a 30-minute period in one of the S@P tournaments...)

I've had 2 in PLO. And one time I was dealt one in 5-card draw. :D

Once I was sitting next to a guy at a casino who hit a royal with AKdd for a $100 bonus. Apparently he had hit one the previous day as well, with exactly the same cards. #rigged

Hit 3 in one year live, one in Omaha. I've had a couple more live in Omaha and 3 more in HE online

One of my live RF, I got Allin on the turn with the A high flush in a tournament only to run right into a SF, and then rivered the Royal. :D

    0 royals.

Queen High straight flush against @Kyle in my home game is highest live hand I’ve hit.

in live holdem play, I hit 2 royals and a steel wheel in a 3 month window in 2012ish. No others ever. One online when I first started playing online in 2003. I got the high hand bonus and it literally doubled my then bankroll from $100 to $200.

In my live RF we were playing PLO. My opponent turned quad aces. I turned the nut flush with a gut RF draw. I basically went runner/runner to take all of his money

Once live in a micro stakes game when we were all around 19. I flopped the straight with a flush/royal flush draw. Turn gave me the royal flush and no one would bet. I was only able to keep one person in the hand by betting small and won like $7. It was diamonds.

I have hit one Royal live playing NLHE. Although not as rare, I have flopped four of a kind with K,J against pocket pair. (Flop: J,J,J,) And I flopped three eight's with the fourth one in my hand. Took all of the players chips with my Jacks, but didn't make much off my quad eights.

Three. One live tournament, one live cash and one cash online. Got an ugly, free sweatshirt along with a whopping $10 pot in the live cash hand.

    2. One in a real game, one were there was no cash in play( just playing around to kill time)

I’ve also sat down at a table right after the hands were dealt... and someone hit a royal. I didn’t get a table share. Also, the hand after I left while at @MikesDad’s table, a royal was dealt.
