NLHE How many Royal Flushes have you hit? (2 Viewers)

I've only gotten 1, but it was pretty amazing.

For starters it was at the bellagio in 3-6 (4-8? its been over 15 years) limit holdem. I've played poker less than 10 cash games at casinos in my lifetime this one was probably number 4. I was so nervous, all I knew was I had AK and flopped broadway. Ends up being me and another guy (we're sitting on either side of the dealer), he's got a pyramid of 5's. I have $150 or so out of my original $200. He gets me all in, and I'm pretty happy about it. He lays down "straight flush" and I freak- THERES A FLUSH OUT THERE?!? I lift my cards to look and get a warning from the dealer to keep them over the table. I can't believe what I see-double check the board-and say "Howabout a ROYAL flush!" as I table :as::ks:. Suffice it to say the table went a little nuts and the guy walked away for a while. I was on top of the world and everyone started telling me how big the (bad beat) jackpots were around town. Still, very much the high point of my poker life!

I haven't ever hit a royal but at our game last week one of the guys turned a royal flush... this only a few hands after hitting quad 5's. This player has a very tight image and he made very little money on either hand.

I did have quad aces twice in the same night and was dealt 7 consecutive pocket pairs a couple of years ago at our local cardroom. I showed the dealer my hole cards after each hand and she couldn't believe it.

Grrrrrrr

Two. One live. One online. Not too exciting. Both happened in relatively small stake games (0.25/0.50). Online was in clubs on good ol' Paradise poker circa '05. My live was in hearts in a home game, again, circa '05-ish.

2 in one tourney on Poker Stars back in 2009. I final tabled the $5 daily that day. Never gotten another one since.

At least 4 or 5 live and several online. My favorite was at Mandalay Bay a few years ago. I had :ac::qc:, flopped :kc::jc:, and turned the royal. As I am taking a picture of the board the player on my right shoves all in for about $400 when the :ts: on the river completes his boat. I laugh and call :) win a big pot + $599 high hand bonus.

I've have 2 royal flushes online in NLHE and they happened on back to back days! Rivered them both and got paid on both. I also flopped a royal playing PLO live.... While waiting for a flight at the airport playing with friends for nothing...

the guy walked away for a while.
No one is ever laying down a straight flush. If he had a pyramid of redbirds, I'm assuming he had at least $1000 in front of him. He got off light at $150, IMO. He would've lost it all against a bigger stack.

NH, BTW.

2006 at a charity gaming night, my 67 flops 8910 straight flush against AQ nut flush. River Jack. Goodbye $700

Note to opponent: As a general rule, if your someone is taking a photo of the board... think twice before jamming.

In NLHE, exactly, more or less, zero.
I did hit one playing 4/8 limit holdem at the Belagio a long time ago, back before they expanded the room.

I've had one of clubs at my home game. Got the jack on the river to win an all in pot.

I didn't hit a royal flush but when my straight flush draw made it there it also gave my opponent the royal. Would have been a nice bad beat payday if we were at a casino

I have 1 in NLHE live at a casino (paid $500 bonus too).
Funny story that really isn't that funny or interesting but which I feel compelled to tell regardless.
On the turn, villain bet into me like $80 which I thought had me covered.
I pushed all in with the nut flush but it turned out I had $10 more than the bet.
The villain was bluffing with bottom pair and went into the tank. There was like $250 or so in the pot and
he almost folded for $10. I hit the gut-shot RF on the river:)

So the lesson to be learned here is :
Reply to threads like these on the first page when people are actually reading them and not on the 5th page
when nobody cares.

2, both @ home games and with min pot (< $50) Our local Casino has High Hand jackpot but I seldom play there.
