Let's Talk Grilled Cheese (1 Viewer)

Not sure when I downloaded the Food Network app but here goes:

Francisco sourdough bread buttered grill side down w/ Tillamook medium cheddar & Swiss cheese low & slow. (YES to add-ons like avocado etc but not necessary)

As soon as we start going the mayo route I'm calling it cheesy bread:

Grated Jarlsberg, Romano, shit ton of mayo, cayenne pepper, a little lemon & lime juice + some parsley baked on a sourdough bread w/ hot marinara for dipping.

also, am i weird for thinking avocado should never be cooked, or even warmed?

You couldn't be more wrong. Stuff them with salsa and cheese, toss them on the grill. Amazing

not sure what it is, but warm avocado tastes funny and i don't like the texture. it's just too good raw.

I will begrudgingly admit that if you take the time to cook it right, eggplant can be much better than it should be. It surprises me every time.
I will eat eggplant if it is served to me (because that's how I was brought up), but I've never been a fan.

Maybe I've just never had it prepared the right way?

How on Earth does a grilled cheese sandwich benefit from adding anything besides bacon?
My youngest daughter's favorites are 1) grilled cheese and hot dog, and 2) grilled cheese and fried egg.

But only if Dad makes them.

Yeah now that I think about it, I’ve never cooked avacado
