How many teams do you guys have? Any intersting team names? Favorite players you must have? FF bad beat stories? PPR or no PPR? I think this may be an interesting topic.

I'll start: I have 9 teams, all named "Charm City Cripplers". They are feared throught the Mid-Atlantic region. No favorite players per se, but I did draft Matthew Stafford on an absurd amount of teams this year. I also did go 9-0 in week 7 this year, which I am very proud of (pats self on back).

Wow, 9 teams??? That's hardcore. I always put way too much time into FF; if I had that many teams I think it would be a full-time job. That's why I keep telling myself I'm going to quit every year, but it never happens.

2 teams this year - one sucks and is 2-8, the other is very good and currently 7-3. A team name I sometimes use in not-so-polite company (but did not this year) is "Donkey Punch Fiasco." This was the name of our quiz bowl team in college.

Super-mega-tilting bad beat: in week 4, my good team played the now-#1 team in the league and I won by a couple of points. BUT WAIT, after not one but TWO stat corrections favoring my opponent, I ended up with a loss by... 0.06 points. This is the third time I have lost a FF game to stat corrections (with zero wins, of course) and this one was just ridiculous. That game is the difference in the standings currently - I would be #1 with my much-deserved win there.

So, since you are exbert: which 3 WR's do I start this week? (Standard scoring, no PPR, 3 WR/no flex)

V. Jackson (@Was)
O. Beckham (vs. SF)
J. Maclin (@GB)
G. Tate (@Ari)

Right now I have the first 3 in, but not sure. Benching Maclin seems insane, but I just don't see Sanchez being able to get anybody the ball in the frozen tundra. And Tate has been super-solid all year even with Megatron back in. Jackson hasn't been amazing but has been getting a ton of targets lately and Was defense blows.

Awesome team name! That's a pretty good situation to be in. A.J. Green if healthy is an every week must start obviously. Maclin is doing so well, I don't see how you can sit him. Jackson will get a ton of targets, but he always seems to disappoint. Beckham is having a solid rookie campaign, and Tate is having his best year yet. I really don't think you can go wrong with any three of the five, but I would probably go with Green, Beckham, and Maclin. Jackson has just let me down me too often this year.

I'm in first place with only two losses in one league and dead last in the other.

The First place team I "accidentally" auto drafted. I came into work one Monday and saw an email from Yahoo stating that I had a successful draft, lol.

My team turned out pretty good. Stacked at WR's, Luck at QB. My RB's were god awful.

Nice. I think Jackson will be a beast down the stretch once he fully recovers from his groin injury. Looks like you have a loaded receiveing corp, and Luck is having an incredible year!

I'm in a 10 person money league and some of the other teams and dreadful. My team name is (created while I was on the Cape) the "Chatham Master Baiters", because I like to fish.

QB - Rivers/Romo
RB - Gore/Lynch
WR - A. Brown/D. Bryant
TE - varies - I've been through 8 of them
D - varies - Carolina first part of the year, then Buffalo, and whomever plays against the Jets
FLEX - Golden Tate and a couple other guys as opportunities arise
K - (Cowboys kicker) - Dan Bailey

I'm 7-2-1 and in first place. Playing against a dead stick this week with 3 guys on bye, TY TY.

I have eight teams in cash leagues. Name in all is need2runners which started out as a poker name but fits well into FFL.

I generally prefer avoiding RBs in the first round unless I am drafting late and someone I can't pass up falls to me as each year half of the top ten end up busts (I have JimmyG in four of my leagues as my top pick, thankfully he's come around). Five leagues I would be in the playoffs if they started today and two others I am right on the fringe. I won't discuss the other league except to say the AP and CalJo wrap fell to me drafting in the 10 slot.

My main league (bigger dough, local league) is 1/2 PPR (so much better than full point) and my early round drafting (from the two hole) went JimmyG/DeMarco/Le'Veon and I traded Bradshaw, Terrance W and R Bush for Lacy six weeks ago to fill out my flex. Leading the league in points by a good margin but in second place to a one loss guy who manages to play against the bust every week.

Interesting stories... I hoarded Matt Prater in seven of my eight leagues two weeks before his suspension was lifted, dropped him and picked up McManus in all eight leagues when Prater was cut. Finally gave up on him after three weeks going 7/6/4 (one FG made in two attempts over the span), dropped and picked up Graham Gano in all leagues because he had a Thursday-followed-by-a-Monday schedule (gotta add meaning to those games!). In TNF he put up a 4 and followed that up with a 3 on Monday night. Dropped him in all leagues for a mixed bag of "best available".

This past week in one of my leagues I went into Monday Night with a double digit lead and had Cam/K-Ben/Gano against Olsen and the Philly D. Turned off the game facing a 30-point deficit in the 4th quarter. Upon checking my phone a little while later I had notifications waiting for me that Cam hooked up with Benjamin twice for scores so I got back to the TV and fired up StaTracker just in time to see Carolina with the ball and I'm sitting on a 1.52 point cushion in a league that has an added .5 for D on all 3-and-outs. Cam took a sack on 2nd down and thankfully handed off on 3rd and 17 to secure me the win.

I also never draft a D and follow the hot hand every week, normally grabbing next weeks D before this weeks games to avoid fighting over the waiver wire. I already have Baltimore for locked up on three teams that couldn't miss the playoffs if I tried (vs Jacksonville to open the playoffs week 15)

Be careful about Baltimore's defense (I say this as a Ravens fan). They have a very good d-line, but their secondary is in shambles.

I have just 1 team. League has been around since mid 90s while in college. Been a lot of names over the years. For the last 5 it's been Kings of Sparta, love the movie 300.

Am currently in 1st 8-3.

I have two teams. One in a league I have ran for 25 years with a bunch of friends. $65.00 league fee. Team name in this league is just our first name although that may change. Clinched a playoff spot after this past week. Currently 8-4 (We have one doubleheader matchup for scheduling purposes). Now hoping that I can get a first round bye with one more win.

Team Roster is:Cutler, Dalton Gore, Hyde, Gray, Ball D.Bryant, K.Benjaman, J.Gordon, M.Floyd, V.Jackson J.Graham, M.Bennett Bailey, Forbath G.Bay. Going to move Forbath and Ball during waivers this week. Disapointed in Floyd and VJack but nothing better at the moment. Hoping Cutler doesnt implode.

My other team is in a Yahoo league that is ran by another friend. Team name is Titties and Beer. Currently my record is 8-3 and just clinched a playoff spot in that league this past weekend. No byes in the playoffs so better record gets an easier first round matchup. Although in fantasy football, no match is an easy match.

Historically the half-pointers never go my way but this season is making up for it. Going in to last night my roster was spent and he needed 17 yards out of Martavis Bryant to clinch the win

Bit of a crazy league... league leader is 8-3 and the other nine teams are all 6-5 or 5-6

This week sucks, I have no players to root for. Of my eight teams five have their playoff spots locked up and the other three have fallen out of contention. I have to fire up FanDuel just to have some guys to cheer for.

Any of you have guys you need a big game out of to make the playoffs?

In my one league I had already clinched a playoff spot, but going into last night's game I needed Edelman and Mathews to have good gamesin order to clinch the regular season championship (and $400). Thanks to that last quarter 69 yard touchdown (and a seemingly irrelevant 7 yard catch by Edelman with about 5 minutes left) I won by 0.15 points, barring a stat correction.

All have yellow rated match ups, so opposition doesn't seem to be a factor.

I think it's really a battle of LaFell vs Tate. Any thoughts?

I'd go with Tate in most circumstances. I have him too and he's been solid all season and is pretty much guaranteed to get you some points. LaFell is a lot more hit-or-miss, and doesn't really have THAT much of a higher ceiling. If you are a huge underdog and need to catch lightning I might start LaFell, otherwise Tate's your man.

Gordon sitting out for me this week in favor of Maclin, and also starting CJ Anderson over Lacy due to Lacy injury. Wilson is still in over Stafford which probably isn't the right call EV-wise but I'm a big favorite and just need a non-single-digit performance from my QB I think. My opponent got lucky and knocked off a much better team last week, really hoping it doesn't happen again.

Brag: Made the playoffs in ALL EIGHT of my money leagues this year. I had one free team that was autodrafted that crapped the bed.

Beat: Only made the finals in three of my leagues, including 0/2 of my big money leagues. I'll be lucky to break even this year.

Variance: Jamal Charles and Matt Stafford. Ugh.

That is impressive.

Made the playoffs in 5/8 and am now in the championship in three of them, including my big league. Both teams that are stuck in the runner-up 3rd place match had Rodgers/TY/M. Evans last week (both went up against Dez as well). I'd be in four championship games if Jordy doesn't drop that 90+yard TD from my QB.

Main, 2 and 3 are Championship matches, 4 and 5 are runner up games for 3rd place.

Main League: Up 30.82 vs Demaryius

#2: I lose if Emmanuel gets 4 yards (I did empty my bench and pick up all remaining Den/Cin WRs just in case he can't go due to the flu )

#3: I need CJ + Barth to score 28.5

#4: I need Barth to put up 18

#5 Up 21.22 vs Manning and CJ

I will be happy as long as Demaryius doesn't go bonkers in my main league but football was REALLY hard to watch today. I would be in so much better shape in 1, 3 and 4 if not for the JimmyG 8-point-swing when he put the ball on the ground at the goalline.

This week was a GD dumpster fire for most of my players...

This pretty well sums it up - for both teams in my championship match. I started Stafford over Wilson.

My 3rd WR, TE, K, and DEF put up a combined 17.3 points. WTF. Fortunately, I am up against Luck, Charles, and specialists that also didn't do very well.

I need 16.5 out of A. Green and C. Anderson tonight to win. Odds seem good (although they didn't hit that number last week...)

In one league I am up 55 but they have Manning, AJ Green, and Hill left. In another, I am up 10 with CJ Anderson and Connor Barth, going up against Green and Hill. in the final league I am down 60, with Julius Thomas, and going up against Connor Barth.

I did pick up Ossweiler in the first league just in case Manning comes down with a severe case of food poisoning and can't play. The best offense is a good defense
