Favorite Set of Cards to Play With (2 Viewers)

The Prestige poker/jumbo in red/blue look like that. As far as I can tell, the green / burgundy sets were a short run for the North American market.

Poker standard (#5 in the list)

(pics are dead links due to Photobucket). These are two-deck setups in a plastic case similar to Kem. Similar set is at http://www.playingcards.net/BICYCLE...NDY-PLASTIC-POKER-JUMBO-INDEX-SET_p_1672.html.

Picked up a red/blue combination of Dal Negro cards today. Definitely an interesting feel to them...don't know if they are typical of Dal Negro cards or not. Appear to be Freedom Star, as reviewed on HPT (https://hpt.homepokerinfo.com/reviews/cards-review-dalnegro.htm). They look similar to Modiano, but aren't as stiff. I'll have to see how they hold up in a game...into the rotation they go.

Here's my rankings of each card that I have in order:

1. Desjgn Grand Victorian Poker Size
2. Fournier Titanium Series Poker Size

3. Faded Spade 2.0 Poker Size
4. Faded Spade 1.0 Poker Size
5. Bullets Poker Size
6. Kem Arrow Poker Size
7. Copag WSOP 2018 Bridge Size
8. Copag Unique 2019 Poker Size
9. Guild Poker Size (think they're Modiano stock)
10. Modiano Acetate Poker Size
11. Bicycle Prestige Poker Size (USPC)
12. Bicycle Duraflex Bridge Size (I'm going to get killed for this. Maybe I need to shuffle them more. I found my set incredibly hard to shuffle)
13. Slowplay Poker Size (only reason for this is the horrible design. Card stock is thinner than others but they're really smooth. I just can't get over the design).

To be determined that are unopened or en route to me:

Fournier 2826 Congress Bridge Size
Dal Negro Poker Monkey Poker Size
NTP Bridge Size
NTP Blackjack index (poker size)
Bicycle Prestige by Fournier

For me, its desjgn and Fourniers as the top dogs, and the rest are far behind. I would put out 1-11 out for a game I'm hosting, but I would give away the Slowplays and Bicycle Duraflex's to a friend if anyone wanted them.

I've read really good things about desjgn's casino series. I'm putting in another order in a month or so to get Grand Victorian set ups as Christmas/Hannukah gifts for my poker friends. I'm going to get a Casino bridge set up for myself with the order to check them out!

Favorite cards (all 100% plastic)

1- Piatnik, Bridge Jumbo
2- Desjgn, Bridge Jumbo
3- Bicycle Prestige, Bridge Jumbo

Not a huge fan fo the thicker cards like Faded Spade. (maybe the newer version is not as stiff?)

Interesting list. I can’t seem to see any trend here as for the style you like. 1-2 are moderately thin and flexible cards while the faded spades are like wood shingles. Then back to flexible and then the absolute most flexible card ....Kem.

Shuffling the Faded Spades for hours of poker is not recommended. My fingers were hurting.

What I like and don't like varies with time for me. Desjgn and Fournier have thinner stocks, but I absolutely love the texture of the stocks and how they shuffle. They "snap" just right with shuffling.

I'll be the first to admit the Faded Spades are difficult to shuffle...at first. Get them broken in over the course of a 4 hour cash game and they stretch out quite nicely. The cards are thicker and feel substantial to me, not egregiously thin like some Copag cards are.

I also got my Bicycle sets mixed up. It's the bridge sized Prestiges that I don't like and not the Duraflex. The Duraflex cards I actually quite like. Stock thickness is just right and they're very durable. I literally had small paper cuts on my thumbs from shuffling the set of Bicycle Prestiges for 10 minutes. Maybe they'll break in the way that the Faded Spades did, but they're at the bottom of the rotation for me at the moment.

In order of importance, this is what I like in a card:

1. Stock texture. I like a textured stock.
2. Card stock thickness. I don't like the really thin and really flimsy cards; they slip around a lot with shuffling.
3. Durability
4. Design

I used to love to poker-sized Prestige decks, but my main gripe is the faces wear super fast. Used two new decks for a cash game one night for 5 hours, and after many faces easily showed wear. Even when using the default green felt our cheap folding tables come with.

The bridge version I never had happen and used them for many nights.

Also don't care for having them too thick now, especially after using Copag. We all use that now, especially since they're a few dollars cheaper on Amazon. Plus all the WSOP sets on Amazon from 2016-onward are $12 a set so they're a steal.

FYI, Kardwell has the Dal Negro Statue of Liberty cards in stock. Got two jumbo index and two regular index decks for myself.

I'm going to update this somewhat. I got a set of these in the mail today, but bridge size...

I also have a set of the above linked on the way. These are instantly in my top 5, maybe top 3. These, and the Dal Negro Poker Monkey cards are knocking the Faded Spade cards out of the top 5. The NTP's have a textured stock not unlike the latest desjgn Grand Victorian cards (made by Dal Negro also, IIRC). It's no surprise that I like them. They just feel so damn good to shuffle. The Dal Negro Poker Monkey's are not too thin or thick and have a great snap to them. They have a smoother texture when compared to the NTP's and desjgns, but I really like how vibrant the Poker Monkey reds are.

I'm definitely Team desjgn, Dal Negro, and Fournier.

I know these cards in this group go over like a fart in church but my players are ABSOLUTELY loving the Fournier 2818 Poker Vision.

I have some on the way and can't speak for anyone else, but Fournier's are for the most part pretty well liked here
