I'm assuming you mean V2 Bud Jones and not Paulsons. I am pretty sure the answer is quantity. The reason I was begging @Mr Tree for a picture of the Tan 50ks if he saw them was because they are extremely rare.

They were last used at the 2005 Main Event and it may be the only event they were ever used at until tonight. It's really hard to find pictures from 2005 but in 2006 they (and the Black/Gold 10ks) were replaced with the 25k Fire Red and 100k Leaf Green chips. I doubt they have the Tan 50ks in large quantity and am shocked (and geeking out) to see them tonight.

The mixing chip sets should have been preventable. They had two flights to color up tons of 25k/5k.
 
Wonder if they will need to bust out the 100k chocolates, this is what’s used for the daily’s

Yes and no. On my phone, I didn't realize they were Bud Jones. I'm not sure what is worse, plastic and plastic in the same color for two denoms, or commiting the cardinal sin of mixing clay and plastic. Some good may come of this... Just have to keep an eye on the upcoming NGC reports.

I love that there is a corner of the internet where @Zmasterben geeks out over a chip's use for the first time in 13 years and @Perthmike vilifies a chip for being official casino weight as if he was indicting a CEO for fraud

I like how I personally know at least a dozen people who would NEVER allow something this fucked up to ever happen at any event they were running regardless of how many people showed up.... because they'd be prepared for it.

Got into Vegas late Sat night. Off to a good start so far. I played the Orleans $400 buy in HORSE championship event on Sunday. 296 entries, $100k prize pool. I busted out around level 8 and bought back in (it was a rebuy event). I played with Greg Raymer almost the whole day. He sat on my left at both tables. He min cashed. After the dinner break, I was chip leader for several hours until we got down to about 25 players, then I started taking some sick beats (all to the same player of course). That guy took over the chip lead and I lost two thirds of my chips with 19 players left. I was probably 15th of 19 at that point. Then I just grinded my way to the final table where I was the short stack, and the donkey was chip leader with about 1.1MM in chips (mostly my chips). I just stayed focused, played my best and clawed my way back in it. The donkey starts losing chips, because that's what Donkeys do, and I doubled up through him to get myself an average stack. Then I busted him out in 9th place :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:. I clawed my way back to Chip lead again with 1.8MM in chips 4 handed. We played for a bit but once the blinds got up to 100k-200k, we all had 1.4MM to 1.6MM stacks and decided to do a 4 way chop. We each got $11.2k. They paid us with $100 wraps lol

Did anyone pre-register online and then use the Fastrac kiosks ?? If so, how did that work ?

Agreed. As I pointed out previously (there are a lot of active Vegas threads running right now, so I don't recall where I posted it) The individual chips are brilliant. However, when put together as a complete set it turns into a fail.

Yes. It works very well. However, the lines were very long because of the Big 50. It wont be a problem from here on out. Fastrac makes it so easy to register for additional events. You just have to jump through the hoops one time at the Fastrac registration desk to confirm your credit card. After that, register online and go to any kiosk and print out your ticket.

Like @DoubleEagle posted it’s ok - after you wait in line the first time and get your credit card verified. That’s the only bitch, they have to verify in person one time. So you have to be here in person at least once before you can use it.

Yep I realllllly like them. As to the comparison to dice chips - in my opinion dice chips don’t have a bad design - except for having both a white on blue and a blue on white.

Don’t get me wrong-they are slugged plastic, they are slippery, and they have absolutely no security, they don’t have denoms. But the design is fine.

For me the Orleans has a tasteful color matched inlay, the color progression is perfect, the spots are better than solids, and those stacks come together as a simple and effective tourney set.
