Neat idea with the signed chips, I had a customer do something similar with a poker table - black laquer racetrack, all the guests signed the racetrack in silver pen and then I added a coat of poly to lock it in.

We laid it out on our wedding gift table at the entrance to our reception with a few gold and silver sharpies. There was also a sign there that said please sign our chip “guestbook”

In all honesty, credit for the creativity goes to the wife. She designed my inlays, thought of the chip guestbook idea. She also came up with the Vegas themed wedding and designed our programs, invitations, seating chart, etc.
