That looks like you might be able to export some kind of 3D-data! DXF maybe? If I could import that dataset, renders of prototypes aren't out of reach. (y) :thumbsup:

Indeed I am. I'm using Sketchup to generate the models. The only thing that's bad about the program is that it won't make true circles, only multisided polygons so any curves are actually many segments stitched together. So the program is only useful for basic 3D models for customers who want to see their table before they pull the trigger to order.

I don't use a technique that is any different from yours. I checked the export options of Sketchup lately and the 3ds-files look pretty decent to me.

My program is only useful for nice renders that makes the customer pull the trigger multiple times.

Friday, July 14th 5pm PST, Vancouver time. Up for raffle is a $2,000 USD credit for a poker table, which converts to just under $2,600 CAD. A portion of the credit can be used towards shipping, so you'd probably want to price out a table close to $2100-2200 if you don't want to pay anything over the raffle prize amount.

50 tickets will be sold for $40 USD each / $52 CAD each.

I've almost always got a backlog. It's when the backlog of orders starts to thin down that I am able to do some raffles. Gotta keep the work flowing.

Well it's been a while since the last raffle. But wait, that doesn't mean I'm doing another one soon but I do want some feedback.

Last year a few raffles were done during the slower summer season. It was great to get the sale in the bank but then I didn't have any work to do for those who hadn't decided what they wanted yet. Then when they realized what they wanted, it was when the workload picked back up and I had more orders to fill. Completely my own doing since I mentioned that there's no expiry for the raffle redemption, and it wasn't horrible or anything, just could have had better timing.

So my question:

a) Would people prefer to hold a raffle in the coming months for a table to be built in the summer? Or..
b) Would people prefer to have a raffle in the summer with a deadline that the winner must complete their order within 1-2 weeks of winning the raffle?

For option b, I can just give some advance warning to those who are wanting to participate in the raffle so that they have some time to plan their purchase and design their table.

From my point of view both seem like acceptable options.
But I have a feeling that option B, even with a stated deadline, may be too short a timeframe to make such important decisions.
(You risk someone wanting additional time and not being happy about it if they don't get it.)

So I think option A is truly the best for everyone involved.
