Just got some great stuff back from J5 the past few days and thought I would share on here and get some creative feedback from all of you..

here are the latest mock ups. I personally prefer the palm tree shaded ones more. But I think they are just missing a certain something?

Please chime in with any suggestions/ideas! different colors/fonts etc...

I am trying to achieve a Mediterranean/Riviera theme. Nice buildings, tropical, etc. And I am really going for the real casino look.

I like the top and middle right ones myself. I would have said just middle right one but I think Deja vu is hard to read being it almost matches the background color.

J5 is one talented mofo.

I like the top right, but would go with black text. I'm not really a fan of any of the denom fonts though - but am a huge fan of red denoms

that's when I want to add specifis comments that I realize I need to improve my english skills, so sorry if I'm not clear enough,
that said,
I love the idea,
my choice would be top left, beacause design is clear compared to the others,
the denom would need to be base color of the chip imo

Pardon the quick paint hack (I'm at work).

I think the middle left background, top right denom and the waves with "On the Riviera" make for the perfect combo.

I like the cheesy hack job.

Keep the outlined yellow/gold text and red denom on all chips, and just use the gradient color as the only difference between chips in the set. Trying to color-match the text to a spot color on every chip will likely muddy it up, imo.

I like top left best as I'm not a fan of color matching. But as mentioned before, I think only thing left is to work with a different denom font.

I was going for a Sahara chip effect with the palm tree chips... maybe it is too much.

Keep any and all ideas coming! We have some more time to smack this one out of the park....

Alternatively, Mr. Cheese's mock up looks pretty good, too.

I just googled 'flouncey' and well.. I need you to be a little more descriptive in what 'flouncey' is please

What about a few more larger palm trees near the building? and yes the top left is now growing on me. Seems like most here prefer the top left with a different font for the denom. J5 can Play around with the denoms and background gradient coloring over the next day or so and I'll post then.

I like the top left too, with a fancier denom.

Flouncy = bouncy or lively.

The denom on the left is pretty static. Dead. The one on the right has a little flourish at the tail end of the two, making it look a little more lively. If there is a font that runs even more to that effect, without getting too scribble-y, that is the way to go.

top left imo. i still prefer the slim denoms that appeared in a couple of the original mock-ups, though i think i'm in the severe minority on that point.

maybe i might ask J5 to steal that denom style for an upcoming design of my own
