Hey PCF,

I wanted to make another post, to share the progress I made with my first custom cash set. The original idea of the theme originates in this thread:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/daniels-saloon-custom-cpc-cash-set-hhr-3916.117206/

However, due to several reasons I had to take a different route instead of going CPC. First off, time was a big factor. I wanted to get a new set to play rather sooner than later, this heavily contradicts getting CPC customs. I'm glad I took some advice, that you should really take your time when doing this. Eventually I'll get a custom CPC set, but I just didn't want to rush it.

Money was also a deciding factor. I just started working a few months ago and I'm still payong off some debts from my time as a student. So the price tag of custom clays was just too high for now. This aligns with taking time for the design though, and once I'm happy with the mock-up, I'll have saved enough to feel comfortable about spending that amount of money.

After considering my options, I decided to go with the new web mold. I knew I wanted to use the inlays that I designed for the CPC set, and I felt that the web mold was good to complement the theme. Plus, the numerous positive reviews of the look and feel of these was reassuring. Regarding the colors I had something in mind as soon as I decided on the web mold. I saw the CDI98 version of those mocked up in the web mold groub buy thread, and it's one of my grail sets besides Paulson Noirs and WTHC. I thought that this might be the closest I'll get to have this design on my table any time soon, plus I think the colors fit very nicely to the design, so I went semi-custom and tweaked the design ever so slightly with and had them mocked up with my inlay:

Special thanks to @tallsbutler and @SoupHQ for support in the design process.

I just received the first pictures of the chips in production and I'm blown away by how good these look. I think it's a combination of the web mold but also the accuracy of colors compared to the real CDI98s. I am super happy with these and I'll post some pictures once the set arrives.

I'll provide pr0n and a review on the web mold as soon as I have them in my hand.

Nice result ! Congrats

Updated the post with some pr0n.

A few thoughts:
1. Wow!
2. The colors are insane. Like, I would not have thought that they would look so good under natural light. THe "radiant red" is so freaking accurate, it nearly glows. I don't have my CDI98 samples at hand, but I'll do a comparison soon. For anyone considering ordering a CDI98 set via justins group buy, you''ll be blown away.
3. Colors are more saturated in real life than the iPHone camera could capture.
4. There are some color variations, which is to be expected. Comapred to other ceramics I had in the past, these are on another level.

I just can't wait to get them into play
