Best/Scrub Holloween Candy (1 Viewer)

I'm in the pro black licorice (sorry @slisk250) and coconut (sorry @One Eyed Dollar), anti tootsie roll (sorry @Ben8257), candy corn/pumpkins (although I would prefer candy corn over pumpkins, strictly because theres less volume of nastiness), and brachs candies (which no one else seems to have mentioned yet ... yuck) camp, but I always did love now and laters (sorry @FordPickup92). I feel like mini snickers and other candy bars, mini m & ms and skittles are great, and less controversial, as well as sweet tarts, smarties, twizzlers (sorry @Jeff, although perhaps you like redvines??) and pretty much anything with a fruity flavor.

You seem quite picky @Steppenwolf... how about Charleston chew? There's an old school treat? I grew up dirt poor now and laters were the only candy my dad ever bought but haven't had one in years but I liked them many years ago!! I fear now they would pull my teeth out!! Lol

I do like red liqorice, especially when it’s still fresh and soft, but the 3 inch long twizzlers in the individual packages that my kids would bring home we’re always so hard they were inedible.

We try to put some full size candy bars and m & m bags (yes, the kind with peanuts) in the mix, just so neighbors know that's how we roll. Also, on a somewhat related note, our fruit salad is pretty much all berries. No cheap ass crappy fruit in there! Don't hate on us... just come over and take advantage of our generosity sometime. We also like to give an alcoholic beverage award to the best dressed, hardest working dad we see. Gave a Not Your Father's Rootbeer Ale to a dad last year who was wearing a 6 foot long Star Destroyer on his head while herding the little folk from porch to porch. 'Nuff said.

Love Smarties, Reeses, Twix, Heath Bars, and Butterfingers. I usually buy bags of assorted mini candy bars that I would eat. I assume kids still do swaps.

I also grew up very poor Ben, and I definitely appreciate all that I have now... but I still like what I like. Do you have any candies you don't care for? My mom generally didn't let us eat candy. So we had to sneak it. Halloween was great, because she would hide our spoils instead of giving or throwing it away. We would be allowed to pick out 10 pieces we could eat. But by the time we found the secret stash and had our fill, there was nothing but Brachs and Tootsie Rolls left. Haha!

Raisins were the worst! So disappointing. I would try to throw them out but my mom would find them and put them in my school lunches.

Nice additions to the most hated list... but I must admit I always loved the packaging on those Kerrs. Did you ever eat your least favorite candy again just to be open minded in case you might like it all of the sudden? Then, you kicked your own ass because it was so terrible.

I actually love Twizzlers after they've been open for a while. Get a big 1-pound bag to snack on for a road trip and open the bag. They start out soft and by Day 3 or so they are getting more chewy and just about perfect.

Jolly Ranchers are delicious especially the grape ones which remind me of 3 Olives “Purple” flavor which is based on Dymatap, my favorite childhood cold medicine.
