I finally have pricing folks!
For 5,000 boxes the total cost per box (3 pieces) is $0.69* + approx. 6 cents tax = $0.75 per box total
For 3,000 boxes the total cost per box (3 pieces) is $0.92* + approx. 7 cents tax = $0.99 per box total
* Based on all pieces being delivered flat, and separately. Does not include sales tax - which we must pay.
Assuming we hit the 5,000 goal...
100 boxes = approx. $75 before shipping
200 boxes = approx. $150 before shipping
I have asked him to update the quote to have boxes delivered pre-split, in cases of 200x total: 200 bottoms, 200 tops, 200 dividers.
There will be a cost add for this, and I'll report back when I have it.

I'm confused by the OP. It says it's a group buy for 100 boxes, yet the pricing is given for 200 boxes only. What is the minimum purchase?

100 count boxes. Meaning, the boxes hold 100 chips. They come in cartons of 200 boxes. Guys are buying 200 to keep re-shipping simple, but you can order any quantity you want.

Boxes are shipped flat. The last time he tried to assemble a small cardboard box, he used a hammer, destroyed the box, damaged the coffee table and broke a lamp. Alcohol may have been involved.

The way the quote is written, I think we actually get breaks on the 1k, but I'm not 100% sure on that. If we hit 6k, I'm definitely asking for another bulk discount.
