Sold Windwalker Dollar Sale #9: ESPT Hundos (2 Viewers)

I’ve decided to thin out some of the chips I definitely won’t use, have extras of that are lying around, or will probably never be part of any set I put together, and so will be doing a series of “dollar sales”.

This sale is for 3 racks of pristine, mint ESPT hundos. Each rack is $1, max one rack per buyer.

Instead of doing a random drawing for this sale, I am asking whoever is interested in buying a rack to link their single favorite post from this site along with their “in” or “interested”. For example:

Post in thread '2k tourney, T5 base'

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/2k-tourney-t5-base.59158/post-1149746

The post can be anything. Instructional, funny, off-topic, a rant, a rave, whatever. Just something you enjoy reading and going back to, because it’s meaningful or relevant to you. I thought this might help unearth some of the more popular / interesting posts on the site, since there is no timeframe from which the post has to be, either.

I will pick my top 3 favorites from the links and give the right to purchase to the posters of those links.

For the noobs, the icon to copy the URL to a single post can be copied by clicking on the share icon at the top of any post, or by clicking on the post number, and then copying the url from the address bar.

- Not a dibs sale.
- Your reference link must be an individual post, not a forum or thread.
- If more than one person posts a link that I choose, I’ll do a drawing from within that group of posters
- I will leave the sale open for entries until midnight PST on Friday.
- Asshat clause applies

Price: $1 shipped per rack. CONUS only.
International buyers: $1 per rack plus shipping.

In! Thanks for the chance Krish!

As to my favorite post...of all of the great stuff on this site, there is only one I have bookmarked, and it's this gem from @wonderpuddle buried deeeeep in a harvesting thread. Aging like a fine wine too, ha. With the way chip prices have been going, a good roundup of available $1 chips is even more useful!

I’d get in if I knew how to link a thread. It’s rough getting old. Though in my defense, I can drive a stick shift or get a speeding ticket fixed even if I can’t figure this out
click the number in the top right corner of the post you like (for example the #185 at the top right of your post)

Then copy the web address from address bar (the top of your browser) and paste it in your post.

...also, please provide your contact info for future ticket fixing ;)

My runner up was the TCR jack Detroit sale where I scored a cash set (1 of 5 I think?) and that was my very first set of high end chips. That was a game changer for me and I still love those chips.

But the HPs were a passion project for me. I had scoured through old posts from 9 years ago of Cali sets to see what was out there in the market, my favorite of all I saw was the HPs. I then proceeded to direct message 40+ people hunting for them. Anybody who was ever involved in a hp thread. Seemed I found them all, they had all landed with one individual who didn't want to break off any of the chips but was willing to sell them all... All 2800 of them! After finding them it took me almost a year before I decided to actually pull the trigger, it was just WAY more money than I ever thought I would invest in chips. But after a particularly lucrative weekend of poker where I won over a grand in a .25/.50 game and getting a bonus at work I decided fuck it lets pull the trigger. I mean they were so gorgeous I could pull off my own set and sell the rest NO PROBLEM. I assumed anyways. I was very correct as I still to this day have people sending me PMs trying to see if I have more HP sets available :D

These babies may be worn, but god damn if they aren't pretty! Yellow 5's with shaped inlays and blaze orange spots, I mean cmon!

Cheers and thanks for the amazing generosity.

In, thanks and I picked this post for selfish reasons. We bought a cottage in N. Michigan in 2020 and it somehow actually made it a good year for us despite the pandemic. It's also the closest I've come to hosting a meetup, which included fishing. I like fishing even more than poker so it was a dream weekend for me. In this picture my lifelong friend @Boother36 just farted and you can see the reaction. We are playing poker in an environment nothing like the one you host in Windwalker, but it's still a beautiful thing. I think you would have enjoyed the weekend as well. Several other pcf members were in attendance including @Sprouty and @WedgeRock.

Why don’t you post the thread name, and post number? I’ll look at it that way.

this is my favorite off the top of my head, as it is what really brought me back to the chipping world after an extended absence - the only thing i ever received from PCF during my hiatus was chip room sales emails, and when i saw this one, i had to jump back in, and scored a T2000 set that i built way out to include a cash set and a T10,000 tourney set, but then of course sold on my way to custom CPCs. and now i am building another paulson set anyway, go figure. sigh.

I was going to just link to pics of your and Ken's Starlite's, but this post and thread has a bit of everything: a Starlite chip, an @Pinkdan quip, @JeepologyOffroad questioning chippers mental health, and really a thread where many underestimated your ability to negotiate grail chips with this to me being the tipping point toward your incredible acquisitions. You asking if the gauntlet was thrown made me realize you already acquired a set, and were just looking for more 5s to add to it.

That's the thread that started my clay chipping journey as well :D

In! What a great idea! Will definitely enjoy combing through this thread to see other peoples favorites...especially the ones that I missed.

While there are many posts that I reference often, from ultrasonic cleaning by @ski_x5 , heating blanket flattening by @Colquhoun , and milling by @Eloe2000 , to any of @Ben8257 or @BGinGA knowledge drops on hot stamp care and tournament set ups, the one that changed it all for me was the #4 Newbie Sale:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...arter-espt-set-plus-extras-newbie-sale.61603/

This was the first true set that I ever owned which good or bad set a crazy high bar for me to start with. And the camaraderie that was developed between me and both @Windwalker and @liftapint from the sale was priceless. I revisit the thread periodically to reminisce about about the tense filled 16 hours that I was on the fence before dibbing, and also go back to it when I need to be reminded of the T25 single table set up. Lol

well i wouldn't call it my start - at the time i bought those, i had previously owned 3 TRK sets and a Paulson PCR set, but i had downgraded everything to a single set of majestics. but i honestly never liked the majestics, so when i saw those jacks i dove back in head first lol. oh, the things we can't take back...
