Sold Windwalker Dollar Sale #9: ESPT Hundos (1 Viewer)

I’ve decided to thin out some of the chips I definitely won’t use, have extras of that are lying around, or will probably never be part of any set I put together, and so will be doing a series of “dollar sales”.

This sale is for 3 racks of pristine, mint ESPT hundos. Each rack is $1, max one rack per buyer.

Instead of doing a random drawing for this sale, I am asking whoever is interested in buying a rack to link their single favorite post from this site along with their “in” or “interested”. For example:

The post can be anything. Instructional, funny, off-topic, a rant, a rave, whatever. Just something you enjoy reading and going back to, because it’s meaningful or relevant to you. I thought this might help unearth some of the more popular / interesting posts on the site, since there is no timeframe from which the post has to be, either.

I will pick my top 3 favorites from the links and give the right to purchase to the posters of those links.

For the noobs, the icon to copy the URL to a single post can be copied by clicking on the share icon at the top of any post, or by clicking on the post number, and then copying the url from the address bar.

- Not a dibs sale.
- Your reference link must be an individual post, not a forum or thread.
- If more than one person posts a link that I choose, I’ll do a drawing from within that group of posters
- I will leave the sale open for entries until midnight PST on Friday.
- Asshat clause applies

Price: $1 shipped per rack. CONUS only.
International buyers: $1 per rack plus shipping.

In. Many thanks for the opportunity!

Having bought and sold a bunch of chips, and having received chips that weren't packaged well, some of my favorite posts concerning the packaging of chips.

Post in thread "Poker Chip Shipping Tips and Tricks". Double walled MFRB/LFRB: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/poker-chip-shipping-tips-and-tricks.7614/post-461993

There are subsequent posts in the thread that elaborate; however, I was afraid of running afoul of the ground rules if I added them:

single favorite post

Thanks for the opportunity Krish, and I am in. My favorite is this from @dennis63 stating that ASM-Vegas had been sold and CPC was starting up. The home poker chip market was at its lowest point around then with Paulson, TRK, and BCC gone, and Ott throwing out low-quality chips and not caring.

the individual post is linked, it just happens to be post #1 of the thread.

There are only a few specific posts on PCF that I revisit. My favorite is the origin story of the Hitching Post.

First of all, it's an all-time set, with perhaps my favorite label.

But what I didn't realize until the first time I read the post was the amount of thought and love that @Mr Tree put into the design of these chips (and the room).

I realize the above is technically a resource and not a post, but it's the one with the pr0n :-)

Think I actually came upon the story for the first time in this post.

A while back, I wanted to find a set of chips my daughter could use at college with her friends and reached out to the forum for assistance. I wanted something that would not be expensive, and if a few chips got lost nobody would be heartbroken.

While many members had suggestions, a few went above and beyond what could be expected and offered to donate chips for her use. @PAZ not only offered and supplied chips free of charge, but he also vehemently refused to accept reimbursement for shipping.

The thread is here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/tourney-set-for-daughter-in-college.60710/post-1188292

Please enter @PAZ into the drawing rather than me. Hopefully, Karma will show up for him.

Stay safe.

As I've said before in your threads, I love seeing chips I never knew existed and learning in-depth chip history. These are the posts I tend to bookmark the most. Usually, this information is not something you can just throw into a Google search and find answers on; it is something provided by veterans in the chipping community who are willing to share their knowledge with the rest of us. Accordingly, my favorite post is the following, which was posted in the "Christy & Jones THC v Paulson THC" thread:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/christy-jones-thc-v-paulson-thc.59855/post-1168139

It should be of no surprise it is a post from Dave.

IN and thank you

This thread singlehandedly changed my view of the chipping community. I followed all of the posts voraciously and was even granted login to the WiFi camera - to watch people I didn’t know and try to follow the action when I couldn’t ever see the community cards. :ROFLMAO: I even stayed up late and watched until the end of one of the tournaments.

@k9dr Thanks for hosting (even virtually) such a fun event. I can’t wait to attend in the future.

In, and thank you. I chose this because it’s my own baby, and because there were just too many good posts in one of my favorite threads, “Pets.” With all the negativity, I love looking at everyone’s pet pictures to put a smile on my face, and my baby can always do that for me!
