Xbox one s or PlayStation 4 (2 Viewers)

I haven't played in about 10 years or so. When i did, it was xbox one. primarily gears of war and halo with jake.

Bumping. I used to be in the know and breakdowns on everything. Now I haven’t played a game in years and have no time (I have unopened games, still never put more than 5 mins into title like bloodborne and the last of us, etc.), but much like buying chips without hosting, I always have hope.

Wait for Xmas for the next gen consoles.
Deals come Xmas, bugs, what’s the reasoning? Also still need both like always, or is it finally time to just get one since I don’t play anyways?

Nah IMO, objectively speaking, PS5 has much better exlusives. Xbox bought Bethesda so that may help them a little, but overall PS5 is going to have better games in the long run, and both consoles will have solid specs.

I mean feel free to debate, aside from Halo what does Xbox have title wise?
Honestly, I was mostly poking fun at your use of the word objectively when talking about "better exclusives" which is totally subjective. That said, PS5 definitely has a larger number of exclusives.

Xbox has made it pretty clear that getting lots of exclusives is not really part of their strategy. One of their huge selling points IMO is Game Pass. $15/month for Gold plus hundreds of games, many of which are new or not-that-old AAA titles.

It really comes down to what you want as a gamer.

PS5 is coming out soon and cost $400 I believe. Great components in there.

I mean.... you know what I mean. Sure, it's all a mater of opinion at the end of the day but if you were to go and read all sorts of articles from people who consider themselves experts in game review, they will pretty much all say that ps4 had the better lineup of exclusive games during its tenure. Sure, you can attribute that to Sony having more access to exclusives as a whole.

Last of Us
God of War
Drake's Uncharted
Bloodborne
FF7 Remake
Horizon Zero Dawn
Ghost of Tsushima

Most of my friends keep an Xbox for Halo and PS4 for everything else. I'm only going based off what the gaming community talks about and so if someone asked me which console they should buy, I would tell them to ignore specs which are really just a dick measuring contest and think about what kind of games they want access to. I have both an Xbox One and PS4 so I'm not a Sony fan boy, just someone who loves gaming. Like if a die hard Xbox fan has never played God of War III, that is the biggest gaming disservice you could do to yourself lol. Xbox's $15 game pass is the future of gaming and the best product they've offered for sure. Let's you play pretty much anything without having to shell out $60 a game.

I haven't seen American statistics, but globally Sony beat Microsoft by a rate of 4 to 1 in console sales with this last generation of machines.

Lots of new added content too. Game brought back so many childhood feels man lol
I always to manage to squeeze a game here or there every CoD release, but THIS will be the first thing that gets me back to playing somewhat regularly.

I know everyones impartial to music and games and culture from "their time", but as a kid I just don't know-how anyone can compete with FFVII, Legends of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia.

Beautiful gameplay, never before seen or replicated well after dynamics, and a novel I would read and read again.

Am I in the minority preferring FF8 over FF7?
Only in the minority because VII I think is the preferred game world wide over any other game ever made, not just VIII.

I did love it, especially being so completely different than VII but still amazing. GFs we're beyond awesome. The only real drawback for me was prob the open world concept vs VIIs.

VIII had more mature dialogue and whatnot, partly just because of progress in graphics and such.

But VII? How did such a polished game squeeze in hookers and tower defence mini games and an entire casino/arcade (gold saucer)??? I gotta go buy this now.

I got it on sale recently, direct on the PSN store.

I listened! Have to get up at 6 am to squeeze in any game time around work and kids, but I’m in. The room is still trashed but stoked that FFVII is the first thing played in the game room!
