Working on custom ceramic tournament set (1 Viewer)

How about pink for the 100s and purple for 25k, no problem of dirty stacking cuz of the size :)

Very nice looking set! I love the colors, maybe I would have the blue as 100, pink 5k, green 25k. But that's because I like it more traditional.

But I really think you should have every second denomination on edges upside down, 180° if you know what I mean ;)

Thank you :) I am happy with the colors, so don't think I will change those. I may forgo of the 43mm 25K chip though (and keep it 39mm along the other chips).

Also. Should I make the black inlay smaller, to make the colors come forward more?

Good point. I'll say definitely yes when looking closer to it. I also think the ilnay design it self will look even better.

Why the black center? With ceramics you are not limited by inlays. Try to make whole surface one colored.

My opinion

I know. I think it looks cool design wise. Most chips (ceramics) have some form of "inlay" or center design, often in black. Like the EPT chips. Though I can admit that it is probably a bit big, hence why I want to shrink it down =)

Well if you are not in production faze try mockup without centered black spot. It may look better. Again, my opinion.

Hmm, true. Doesn't hurt.
So just going single color? Removing the white circle and black background? Or just removing the black circle?

Thoughts about the other suggestions?

- Removing denoms from edge and "rolling face" and just place one number center in the inlay. I'd just have to move the club name to the top of the chip.
- Adding a simple pattern on the edges, or keep them 100% clean.
Pattern example:

Black bars? Or using same color, but with different hue? (so darker green "bars" on the T100, darker red on T500 etc).

General advice
Considering design for custom set I browse a lot through existing custom and Casino sets. In Poland we are quite limited to ceramic chips because of price and they more liberal with grafic.
My favorite now is Kahnawake Quebec.

The colors are nice! I want to make a custom tourney set one day. You don't like the 43mm for the higher denoms? I always liked the bigger chips being a little bigger it seems to make them more special in my opinion

I have checked many =) This is based on Empire set.

Thanks! :) I do like it, just unsure how my group feels about mixing 39mm and 43mm. But personally I think it looks cool, and adds an extra element to the T25K chip.

I get it my group hates anything new too lol. Yeah I agree I think it does add an extra element. But yeah hard to change something when the group doesn't really like it

Haven't tried that no, but I agree I think the clean rollings look slick. =)

Another design option. Thoughts are welcome.

Need to send in potential revisions today so the design guy can work on it asap tomorrow morning.

Suggestions for colors that would fit to have on the bars if I am to go with a simple edge pattern? Alternative is to keep them clean as above.
(bars like for example this, 4 bars at 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees)

Just go with darker color of the same color?
So dark green for the T100, dark red for the T500 etc.
Or?

Set looks very nice. I think the "label" looks great.

I kind of like the solid version. @sheikh617 did a really cool set with solid edges, look at them for inspiration.

I'm not sure I get these lines and square that I've circled in this picture. I think you would either have to define them and make them look more intentional or remove them and go for a ceramic version of a solid set.

Thanks!
Reasonable argument. Was just trying to bring some form of pattern or something so the area isn't completely sterile. Even though I like clean and simple, it can be TOO much sometimes as well :p I don't want it to become boring either.

The colors are on point to me. Big fan of the bright and vibrant colors man! Also big fan of the clean “darker color” edge. Hell I would buy these for my home games lol.

Thank you :D

I've asked for adjustment on the yellow and pink edge bars, since I felt those didn't "pop" as much as the other three (green, red and blue was spot on in terms of contrast/color, me thinks =) )

Though I may have to add a few millimeters of "main color" on top and bottom of the edge bars, to avoid smearing to the face of the chip, according to my chip producer.
Similar to how they did it here: (a few mm of black on top and bottom of the edge bar)

Your labels look great - nice design. I also like the black in contrast to the bright colors.
Looking forward to see pics of the real chips when you get them :)

Hoping for another round of samples soon, since the first samples were based on the other design idea.

Unsure about the solid..

Also, smaller edges to prevent smear, but I didn't like how it turned out. The bar needs to at least almost run the full edge. And I think he made some of them different sizes, they don't look equal :p

I like the solid colors. I would also agree that the edges don’t look the same, at least the 25k chip. Maybe it should be diffident because it’s a 43mm...

In the end, these are your chips, so if you prefered those squares and lines i pointed out, i think you should keep them. For the sides i think i liked denoms better than the squares if you can't go full bars to the edge due to some bleeding/smear issue.
