I think this would be a lot easier if Star Wars was actually decent source material to work with.

It's a good theme. I bought mine (similar name) from another member a few years ago.Mos Eisley cantina and Casino
I think the 3D14 edge gives the set a more "off set", underground, space smuggler/gambler feel. Thoughts?Just some samples I've been working on with an awesome designer. What do you all think?
It seems like you plan to use this set as a tourney and cash set, that creates a security issue, and you shouldn't do it.Just some samples I've been working on with an awesome designer. What do you all think?
Kessel Run it OnceKessel Run Room (only turbo tourneys)
I'm only playing with 6 of my best friends maybe once a month max and I'm the only star wars fan. I have no concern of these coming up missing. Lol, but thanks for the concern. I honestly didn't think about it. I also wanted to keep the colors reflective of more of a calm smuggle gambling sector vibe. A place where low lives or the local daimyo can hang out.It seems like you plan to use this set as a tourney and cash set, that creates a security issue, and you shouldn't do it.
I think the 4D14 better. Consider going crazy on the base colors, its SW!
What do you think? An upscale cantina chip where smugglers, Daimyos, and wanderers alike are welcome.Personally, I wouldn't want characters on the chips. It would make them look like souvenir chips. I would want something that looks like it came from the casino you create. Imagine a backstory for the owner of the casino and what his/her personality is like. What type of clientele it's trying to attract, or what power it's trying to not offend. Design a chip as if you're there instead of just adding tropes to the design. The possibilities are endless, so a good question to ask yourself is if there is any time period that most interests you. Original trilogy, prequel trilogy, sequel trilogy, old republic. etc... Then decide light side, dark side, smuggler, scum and villainy, etc... That should help narrow down your options for design choice and. Look to real chips for inspiration. Maybe old nevada chips like the Pioneer with a star wars twist, or Binions, or Star Dust.
I'm thinking of getting rid of the name all together and just stick with a the arubesh style denoms and keep the background flat gray or black. I think a true cartel exchange or cantina chip won't have the fancy naming.I think card room is too Terran, we can do better.
Cartel Exchange
Bounty Exchange
Cartel Cantina
I actually stuck with my previous notion to drop the name all together. A true underground gambling club wouldn’t have a name in the star wars Galaxy( IMO). But the chips and plaques are stunning. Arubesh font on grey beskar inlayHow did this end up?!? I’m dying to know!
Even more than the chip itself, I love the font and plaque!!!I actually stuck with my previous notion to drop the name all together. A true underground gambling club wouldn’t have a name in the star wars Galaxy( IMO). But the chips and plaques are stunning. Arubesh font on grey beskar inlay
@mattross1313 is the mad scientist being the chip and plaque denom and design. I had my ideas and drafts but he perfected the vision and brought it to life.Even more than the chip itself, I love the font and plaque!!!
