I thought this was cute:

I took my young son to his first NHL game last night. He brought along one of his friends.

In the first period, before any points scored, it was his judgement that the home team (Rangers) were playing better than the other team. He described this to his friend by saying: “The Rangers have more equity right now.”

His friend had no idea what he meant; I knew instantly.

I am -- equity isn't necessarily easy to explain to a kid, and hearing him using it in an analogous situation did put a smile on my face.
After some time lingua of poker is so natural. I remember using many terms in different situations, but I think most common was "I have odds" referring to women, driving car or even chances for meeting. Problem was when I started using that at work.
