Picking Fracs could use input (2 Viewers)

In my mind it needs to be leaded…. Possibly wrong thinking but I’m stubborn
I have some pretty twisted theories about fake chips and milling and whatnot, so grain of salt.
But when I had a leaded, shaped inlay full casino set without fracs (Foxwoods) I used starbursts as fracs. To me it’s the perfect answer because they’re leaded THCs and there’s no worry about what shape the inlay should be and or how that would fit into the inlay progression. Also they’re solids so you don’t have to worry about spot progression. And my god, near mint leaded THC starbursts are a joy to handle.

Edit: and fwiw, there’s a strong tradition of casinos using hot stamped fracs with otherwise inlaid sets.

HS avoids the inlay shapes. Non denom starburst has most flexibility. More fungible in the future for other stuff. Can easily swap out colors if feeling frisky. Probably cheaper (and much faster) than getting new frac inlays made. Is visually complex in its own way that it won’t be as jarring from a solid frac to that stunner $1 chips. Keeps the set wholly original

Fucking wild….

I read this, and was like YES. Had to scroll up to see who posted it, and I was conflicted.

@upNdown & I agree!!!!

I like the color on the VLV 50, but the spots seem a bit too much for a frac. I wonder if anything pink has been made with the same style of spots as the Flamingo $1 spotted bird, that'd probably be great.

100% agree with @upNdown. I have "inlay replaced" sets which I was happy to modify the frac too. However for the set I had with original inlays the solid starburst was a great option and I think would suit your set well.

Just get some leaded hot stamps and make your own. Worth it.
