100 max participants added to FP. @chippitydoodah made a good point so we are just going to roll with it.

📌 Quick Summary

  • 💸 Cash option: $685.5 M
  • 🇺🇸 Federal taxes (37%): ~ $253.6 M
  • 🏛️ State tax (Delaware): ~$0 (no state lottery tax)
  • 🧾 Net take-home: ~ $432 M

At a 100 max cap and if we are the only jackpot winner, looks like we can walk away with about 4 million each after taxes. Did someone say we form a DE LLC to collect? ;)

In and sent. 100 poker chip enthusiast all coming into $4M of free money at the same time. Right on. If my cut of the payout is less than $1k, please donate my portion to toys for tots. Thanks for all you do.

Just keep collecting...more chances to win. If I had the option of winning $4 million by stopping now but the odds are better to win $2 million dollars it's a no-brainer keep letting them in. That's how I feel.
:D

If it’s at $1.5 B now, it’ll be 1.6-1.8 B by the time of the drawing

I think the numbers they advertise before the next drawing is what they estimate it will be at the draw time, but more the merrier!

Out of curiosity, and I guess it greatly depends on your age/family, etc, how many would insta-retire if they walked with 4 million?

Let's just say I wouldn't not retire.

Maybe set limit like Golden Ticket to membership time
and limit entries to one per member
…before I send $25 a few more times 🤪

What are the odds of winning the big jackpot? Supposedly 1 in 292201338 per ticket. If we have 100 people at $25 per at $2 a ticket, the odds should be 1 in 292201338 / (100 * 25 / 2) = 1 in 233761?

For comparison, odds of a royal flush (in a 7 card hand) are 1 in 30939.

I obviously don't expect us to win, but I like the odds on this. Time to start buying some sets before we win and bid up the prices! Just think about how much everyone's grail set is going to cost after Saturday!

I am 63 years old. Fuck yeah I'd retire! But only from working, not from chipping. :cool :cool

Yes, but adding people only makes the odds move from “virtually impossible” to “ridiculously poor”.

I would quit the day I received the money!

yes, setting up a LLC or a trust will be necessary for this many people - not sure how DE works.

so we will also need to put little aside to pay the attorney, financial advisor, and CPA that we will need to walk us through the process. i hope this doesn't cut into anyone's retirement plans! ;)
