Yesterday I was given a one week ban on the Chip Donkey's site without warning.

Takeaways from feedback from friends (and a few wise and forward strangers):

No one gives a crap.
No one wants the drama
Everyone just wants me to get over it.

The only reason I would join over there is access to the marketplace. I do like that they have a ccgtcc forum. Plenty of us are members and do collect single chips here and there.
 
Don’t really know you Jeff, but you’ve always seemed like a super upstanding member of the chipping community, so certainly no negative judgement from me

I love it here and at CD, but i certainly don’t agree with some of the things that have happened there in the last few days.

Hopefully it all resolves itself, I think it’s fine to have more than site if some feel the need or are unable to post on here.

I don’t see it as being a forum full of drama, but like any forum certain topics seem to gain traction and go on and on. Most over there just want to be friendly and have share experiences.

I’d love all the drama to end really on both sides.
 
What's sad about the story is that there seems to be noone with the necessary amount of insight in human nature on either side of the fence to make any visible progress in trying to fix things up, reuniting the community.

(I don't claim to be the guy that knows what to do.)

Can you tell me what kinda of drama you've seen around PCF since the donkeys and company moved on?

* Not trying to buy you any gifts btw... I'm honestly curious since PCF for me feels so, so, so much better nowadays.

I’m just as active on sites, so no bias here. Pcf doesn’t quite feel as community driven and friendly as it (or maybe my memories of ct) used to.

Love it still though and it’s still miles better than any other online community. I post on both in order to engage with other members that went quiet.

I don't necessarily disagree with the above, however, it's to be expected since so much shit was thrown at the site owner and many, many of the site members, no?

I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with you on a few occasions, and I’ve enjoyed all conversations. I honestly don’t know what to think of either site at the moment, so I’m laying low. Not sure many people are sling sh!t left and right now, but it’s not my thing. Hopefully everyone settles down and we can all just get back to chips and sammich’s

Totally agree. For the record I didn’t agree with the shit that was thrown, although I certainly understand the disappointment some members felt and expressed.

Think of me as Switzerland.
 
I can sympathize with not being able/allowed to tell one's side of a story, but honestly, what happens over there really doesn't mean a hill of beans over here.

I guess one ~could~ post an off-topic thread about it, but not sure it's a very good idea, or likely to change anybody's opinion about it, or have any beneficial outcome whatsoever.

I'm guessing most here couldn't care less, minus any latent concerns about dragging garbage from over there and dumping it here.

I do not really disagree with this post. Jeff is a mod here and there are many members that are at both sites. I think Jeff is just trying to let folks know that he is not trying to crap on people as many have done here. He has been portrayed as one of the members that he is supposed to keep in line.

I would say it is mostly peaceful here because if a thread starts to get hot it gets locked down or deleted altogether. So most people don’t bother since they figure they could go to CD and post it there.
 
In my opinion, site cross-pollination is bad when it may result in spreading unrest. My $0.02 contribution on the topic is that is is wisest not to argue when you can’t influence the other party. In that situation, I’d rather quietly move on and be happy, rather than showing that I’m right. People know you, Jeff, and some ban isn’t going to cast any aspersions on your true character.

I choose to not watch the other channel, and suggest that we return to our regularly scheduled PCF programming. Now, for a brief commercial break, with THC + lead + shaped inlays.
