This idea of a Mariner set is still rolling around inside my skull. The color palette is close the US Navy and Marine Corps colors. The spots are simple. I find simple edge spots easier to count in someone's bet. The denoms skip the $1,000 denom to provide 4x-5x jumps. I'd like to have 9 independent graphics, plus a common reverse side graphic. I'll have to hire that out as I don't have the skill. I gave up on the idea of ceramics that you've seen before. Shown are 1 inch inlays.

I wonder how much I would have to pay Classic to produce my rope mold.

I would be concerned with colour diffeernetition on your 5cent and $1 chips...if you swap colours between your 5cent or $1 with your $100 then all should be resolved as they likely won't play together in quantity if at all.

I ordered the color samples from Classic. We'll see how they look in real life. I took a look as using yellow at 5c. That might work too. Thanks for the input.

I spent a couple hours looking at modifications based on your comment now that I've got the samples. I'm a grown-ass man and I'm playing with little bits of plastic, but whatever.

The grey is reasonably distinct from imperial blue. The $100 had to stay close to Navy Blue/Black for _reasons_. Mostly to stay consistent with widely available denoms. Thanks for the input just the same. The use of a monochrome scheme for color spots might help a bit. Here is where I am at the moment.

I don't have good lighting for photography so the photo of the color samples isn't terribly good. But the colors of the samples are the same colors as the colors in the mockup.

I didn't really give up on ceramics per se. I gave up on me performing dye sub printing. I decided that I will let the professionals do that work. I've come back around to ceramics because they provide an interesting design idiom.

I've dialed back my ambitions on tournament sized denominations and have arrived at a cash set including $.05 through $100.

I've started talking with an illustrator on artwork. He sent some samples out of his library. All the stuff I thought was so perfect is unsuitable in such a tiny format. I've got a lot more respect for the talent involved in the design of the poker chips that I find attractive.

Sorry no porn this time. The only progress made was determining what doesn't work.

I guess I can post one small thing. I've tweaked the colors at CPC to avoid blue and green being too close together.

Also, for "rope mold", the mold you are looking for is called "Roman mold". They aren't cheap though, because the mold broke a long time ago, and it's what the original Teddy KGB chips were in Rounders... So lots of people hang on to them. They are out there, though.
