Las Vegas trip report - Goodbye Bally's (12/14 - 12/22) (3 Viewers)

how could GPI approve that design? If I was bally's I'd sue for losses and new run of chips. Waaay to close. No dealer/player would ever spot the difference during play. A good gear label and you got yourself a brand new hundo.
And a brand new orange jumpsuit…..blaze orange, so it’s extremely desirable.

yeah. no thanks for myself. But I'm sure within a few days these will start to go into circulation at Bally's. they are just making it way to easy.
who wants to try?

I would bet dollars to donuts these chips are already being passed through, or will be within about a week.
Did Jim/TCR have exclusivity to these Jumers chips? If so, that means more than likely it’d be PCF members who purchased the chips trying to pull this, and I’d like to think none of us would do such a thing but I’m not so naive.

Regardless, the chips are out there in public. It's a big liability for them. I gave my buddy who works there a heads up. I told him he can bring it up to management and be a hero. Haha.

Big update

After talking to Rufus regarding the mystery bounty, he advised me to spread that $1600 BI money over the rest of the week.

We decided to play the Super Sunday at Orleans. It started at 11 AM and was $200 with $100 add on/rebuy for 20k in chips. Almost 220 entries and 11k for first.

Rufus got rivered pretty early and went to the cash table. I had a slow start but after a first difficult hour things improved and I was running good and playing well.

It went on and on and on…made it to the final table with a good stack. 3 pro’s and 3 rec players left at the end and blinds kept on rising. We all had similar stacks and when we where all left with 10 - 18 big blinds, we discussed a chop. After almost 16h we didn’t want it to end in a lucky shove fest.

ICM numbers showed a payout between $4300 and $5800 for all players. I got a $5230 payout :)

Good times in Vegas…more coming but need sleep. I skipped sleeping Saturday night, last night with Rufus and Mikey and was back in the hotel on Monday morning 4 am. I’m way below 20h of sleep since I arrived on Wednesday. Time to take it easy for the coming days

There is your bankroll for the Divide.

The $100 chips at Horseshoe will have security features that will make it difficult to pass off fakes. BUT, if there was a time to try it it is now. Best opportunity I've seen since the Strat $4 was VERY similar to the design of $1K chips at a casino in Louisiana.

To be fair if a criminal can’t deduce that the Jumers chips that can be bought for $2/chip looks really really similar to the horseshoe chips worth $100/chip they’re just a terrible criminal.

Here’s the side by side. If mods aren’t comfortable with me posting this you guys can delete it:

Ceasers majorly fumbled this one. Usually they flip the spots so the gold is in the silver side and vice versa. These don’t do that and look an near identical. Wouldn’t be surprised if fakes start getting passed by the end of January if they don’t make a change.

It’s not a big liability to them it’s fucking MASSIVE. If a guy in the early 2000’s could concoct a fake so good it’s undetectable you can bet your ass that someone will make a fake so good they can’t find it. Id personally be surprised if anyone got picked up for passing fakes unless they got ratted out. You could easily move 5+ figures in fakes at table games without any detection. Just play craps or something and then slip 1-2 in a session for color ups. Or you could just sell them off outside the casinos by exchanging them to players inline at the cage for cash.

You do realize that if you flip the chip over the spots are reversed for a symmetrical pattern like this.
Nah I get that. I’ve seen a few chips that will have the same pattern and colors with flipped spots. So no matter which way you flip the chips it’s always opposite of the other one. Or maybe I’m just having a dumb day and am wrong.
