I think I may just stick with the $25 quarter pie. I love my $100 814 and I want the $25 to have lots of that Dayglo Green. Normal Green looks a bit like Imperial Blue in some lighting. Still open to ideas though.
I'd like to keep it simple. Some of these higher level edge spots are soo ugly. Did they retire some of their edges? I recall a tri spotted 4DSA316. Not sure what that'd be called, but it had three 16 stripes on each side which were separated by the base color. Maybe it was the old Chip Tool when it had Paulson edges.
Keep it 1/4 pie. It was awesome as is.
I hear what you are saying here in regards to blues and greens. If you want a blue and a green chip in the same set, they need to have totally different spot patterns/colors and/or utilize the light and dark shades as the base colors. With your set using the "middle" shades as the 2 base colors and only using shades of the base color for the spots, it will be tough to make it work I think. For my set, I went with blue and light green and feel this offers enough contrast between the 2 chips.View attachment 38763
Was thinking about ^^ this ^^ but issue I have with it is Green is still dominant base color for the $25, which looks fantastic, but it's really close to the $1s Imperial Blue in some lighting. Also the $100 looks fine but it's 6 spots just like the $25 which doesn't differ them enough from each other.
The quarter pie $25 was half DG so it stood out from the other chips very nicely.
Keep the $25 1/4 pie or the 25c?

Either a lighter blue base $1 with you latest green $25 or lighter green base $25 with your latest imp blue $1 chip.
Wow, that pic came out bad. Looks a little washed out on the monitor.
While the subject of the samples is broached: Is anyone else totally disappointed by the DG Orange?
My sample seems more brown orange than dayglo.
Did you oil them?
Oil, baby, oil.
Yeah I really wouldn't consider DG Orange a "dayglo" color really. It is darker/less bright than the other DG colors and does have a lot of brown in it.I have not oiled them. I will do so. But I can't see it turning into a day-glo color just from some mineral oil. I'm beginning to think I may have this color mislabeled...
Trigger has been pulled and hopefully I'll have no more last minute revisions.
Love love love your hundo
Like these a lot better. The $5 looks a little off to me in comparison to the others. I think it's the red edge spot but also bc both edge spots are dark, which differs from the new edge spots on the other chips.
You've gone with at least one light-colored edge spot now on the others and your $25/$100 have 2 light-colored spots.
The $5 might bit better if you go lighter on one or both of the edge spots...
you could do dg pink and maroon instead of black. Or you could do the dg pink/red edgespots with a retro red base.
Like the new $1 (with the lighter blue) and love the DG green base. Now the $1-$100 chips are your traditional colors. I think the $5 would look sharper with some more contrast on the edge spots. Maybe try mandarin red base and DG pink like you have above but maybe swap the red edge spot for an arc yellow or DG peach???
Do you have a sample set? Retro red looks much better in person than on the chip tool. Regular red looks almost burgundy.
