Flying Spaghetti Monster CPC Mockups (3 Viewers)

Would you consider just "The Lagoon"? I realize that gets away from the FZ song title, but "purple" is a little difficult to read even when the text is white.

I totally agree. The Purple Lagoon was the only one that would fit the FSM creature theme, but I might have to reassess.

Thinking about "The Beer Volcano" as the title since it's the Pastafarian heaven. This might work with the creature.

I think I like the gradient inlay that go dark top to colored bottom for most of them. The quarter I like the third one with the no brown inlay.

Yeah I like the dark top a lot, too.

To be consistent, the hundo might look better if you did black to gray instead of black to purple...

I would encourage you to go back to the 2 sided, simple inlay with the noodly peek.

As for chip colors - you have hit analysis paralysis.

I hear ya man. I think a black inlay with the color matched creature looked pretty good. I think the gradient looks okay but I think I'm trying to take the inlay to the next level and I'm not sure if it really needs to. I think it needs some text though. Giving it a name adds to the concept and makes it looks like a real casino chip. I think you're also right about the analysis paralysis. I've come full circle back to blue with retro blue/light blue edges for my $1. What a sexy chip.

I really like this last one. And the new $1 is lovely. The fiver looks good but in my mind maroon instead of red fits the dark/light spot pattern better I think. I think the color gradient is a really nice touch

Like the new hundo inlay color and loving the gradients still. I usually like going more complex w/the edge spot designs (higher levels) as the chip denoms get higher. If that's something you wanna do, your $25 edge spot is a lower level than the $5...

Really love that hundo. Have you tried it as a 6DS18+? Would love to see how that looks!

Still very hard to make out the purple...have you thought about killing the denom where it is and scooting The Purple Lagoon down? If you did that, you might be able to make out "purple" a little better. Not sure where you'd have room for the denom then -- maybe can you make the spaghetti monster wider and then the denom could be in the center of this body???

I really like that latest $100, but ya gotta do something different with the near-invisible 'purple' text.

Thanks for the link.

I really like the latest hundo as well.

That 'purple' though. It's tough. I've made it larger, a more blocky font, drop shadowed it and faded the monster behind it but it's still difficult to read. The white drop shadow could be making it harder to read. Might try different fonts.

The 25c, $1 and $5 have diff fonts for the 'purple'. New $25, is it too close to the $1?

25c font looks best to me. As for spot patterns and colors.....LOCK IT UP! These look awesome

They look great but imo, it's still hard to read purple clearly. It just doesn't look very crisp/sharp/defined but maybe it's just how it looks on my phone and computer.

I know they look different in person but my experience with inlays, if it doesn't stand out in the mock-up, it will be even less noticeable on the actual inlay when you get your chips.

My previous customs had a black inlay with a light gray "M" in the background...like the bellagio chips. It was pretty noticeable on the mock-ups and looked very similar to the Bellagio style I was going for. But when I got the actual chips, you care hardly see the "M" in the background. I can post some pics tonight if you wanna see what I mean.

Just wondering, why does "The Lagoon" not fit the FSM creature theme. Can't creatures come from lagoons whether or not they are purple? I just think these would look really freaking sweet without the "purple" - it is the only thing in my mind preventing this from being an epic chip! I'm with Dale on the readability issue.

How about...

The Purple Lagoon, in the same font (not changing for the 1 word) and making the "fade" a purple hue?
