I printed out the latest version of the $0.25 inlay on a printer at work. It's black & white and about 1.2" and the word 'purple very visible.

I think the less purple I make it, the more visible it'll be.

I think the impaired visibility might be partly due to the watermark going right through the chip.

Could be. "purple" will def be more legible on b/w. Can you print in color?

As the fonts read now, my brain puts emphasis on the word "purple". If this is the intent, then cool. Otherwise I might change the "the" to match the font of purple as well (which is easier to "read" because the brain automatically reads that blob as "the".

Changing fonts shifts the emphasis from:

to

• The Purple Lagoon

On my monitor, I can read purple and it's the same size as the actual label in real life. No gradient or drop shadow, just a very light purple.

I may abandon the lagoon theme but try the design on something else. Barf generic hotel name but I like the design.

Naa, they ended up as the Montreux chips that are in my profile pic. I cheaped out and got edges that weren't as expensive. The set has served me well but I don't use it much now that I have a Mountain Top casino set.
