I will be in Chicago with my wife, who has work obligations, from Sunday to Wednesday. We have activities and restaurants planned for Sunday and Monday but Tuesday she has a work conference event so I'll be free. Due to the conference location, my hotel is nearby the Rivers casino and I thought about going. It doesn't seem to have a poker room so the question is, is going to horseshoe Hammond worth the 1 hour Uber ride? Or go to the Grand Victoria casino?

I'll add that I'm in the Schaumburg area

Appreciate any input!

I hear that Chicago is FULL of “charitable” poker events that run so they can normal poker games in accordance to the local laws.
Tourneys, cash games, etc. That’s the real Chicago poker scene.

I too had that dilemma. Since I was downtown when I last visited, I was closer to Hammond , so there I went. Let's just say that it left a lot to be desired for. It is in the most ghetto area (AC pales in comparison to it)

Grand Vic is your best bet if you don't feel like driving to Hammond. The BBJ just got hit so I think it's possible to get a seat there easier than it was a few weeks ago.
