I’m wondering if Bahamia chips were manufactured with the leaded formula. I believe the casino closed in 2002, which would put the chips likely made during the transition period according to AI:

Key Details regarding the transition:
  • Initial Phasing (1990s): Gaming Partners International (GPI) started removing lead from their manufacturing process during this time.
  • Pre-2005 Chips: Older Paulson chips, particularly those manufactured before the mid-2000s, were known for using lead dust for weight.
  • 2007-2008 Controversy: In late 2007, investigations revealed high levels of lead in certain Paulson chips, with some testing positive for up to 45% lead. By this time, GPI stated the chips were already being reformulated to meet safety standards.
Does anyone know? Is there a way to tell?

Weight of chip usually shows leaded, semi leaded, or non leaded.

according to AI
I would guess there's a 95% chance that AI scraped 100% of that information from PCF. And who knows how accurate it is?

Anyway, I’ve never handled them. But if that place was open from 5/2000 to 2002, chances are all their chips were produced by Paulson in 1999. So it’s pretty likely that there’s some level of lead in those chips.

I'm looking for the $1's...

Anyone got em?

Or, just buy my 2 racks o' fives

$1s are impossible unless you find them in a set and even if you did find them on their own, they would be so overpriced
