Counting only what I paid for the 8 or 9 sets I currently have, I'd say its only about $7000.
But if I count all the money I have spent (ie. lost) buying and selling chips over the years then I have no idea. I have 300 or 400 emails saved that document all the transactions so I suppose I could figure it out.
I'm going to guess I have bought something like 60,000 chips and I've probably lost about 10c / chip, for a -$6,000 total.
That's not so bad. I think I need to buy some more.

I'm not nearly as much into my wallet for chips as some here- yikes!

I have 2 custom sets - ASM clays I think were around $750, and ABC ceramics that were maybe a grand? Also a few hundred casino chips (5's and 1's) in wall displays so maybe another 600 face value in those.
I have a few thousand slugged chips of various types that I probably paid 200 bucks for total.
So maybe around $2500 total.

I have 1325 Aztar chips and after adding everything up, looking at $900. What killed me was the $1000 chips.... I should have just been happy with the re-decaled Eureka orange chips that were cheap... but no, I just had to get those oversized 1000's from someone here on the forums selling a bunch and a few on eBay. Had I not bought a couple for fun from Jim last year, I never would have known about oversized chips and liked them.

I bought my first set nearly 13 years ago: Bugsy's Hideaway chips from Gamblers General Store in Vegas. Paid $1/chip for nearly 1,600 chips. Never had any need or inclination to add more chips. Started looking at a new complimentary and higher denom set for tournaments and ended buying Desert Palms CC chips which now totals 2,900. Bought from a few different people, it probably cost me around $600.

Then somehow I found my way to this forum 18 months ago and you damn people with all your pr0n pictures, stories, collections, knowledge and passion completely messed me up and in the last 2 months I have bought a set of 936 CDIs and 360 PNYs, which I don't need/use but had to start my journey to catch up with some of you fine folks!. I need 500 more CDIs and 1000 more PNYs to complete my sets

Will definitely be adding a 3K set of Boardwalks soon (y) :thumbsup: and will continue to hunt for a 1500-piece set of Le Noirs

Total so far, about 4K.
