I'm toying with the idea of a custom set of ceramic chips. I have a 1000 chip set of custom ASMs I've been using since 2002-2003 and I love them. However I was limited to 7/8 centers back then and I always liked the larger unlimited print surface of ceramics. My Father is a retired art director and graphic artist who is very creative. I think we could really come up with something awesome but I need ideas to show him.

So, I'm interested in seeing what you would consider your favorite ceramic chip designs. Could be from private custom sets or casinos. I have more traditional tastes but am interested in seeing anything.

I'll be interested to see what folks post, I much prefer the look of clay chips or ceramic hybrids with the classic inlay/label look. I haven't found a full face printed ceramic that I really love. The Royal Yaks are pretty nice looking.

SurfsideCasino, Paradise Card Room, Chipco Egyptians, Poker Tour V (France), Turtle Creek Casino, Nine Dragons, Tournament Players Club, PCF, Busted Flush (customs), WSOP 2004 and 2005, in that order.

(I have all those but two -- and one of those, I had and sold. :()

And then there are all the ceramic hybrids...
.

I’m not sure if I’ve seen it yet. The paymaster chips are definitely close. I don’t like the comic-ish styling, so it can’t be MY favorite. But that set definitely nails the ceramic medium.
Ceramics that copy clay chips are no good. If you want a chip that looks like a clay chip, get a clay chip.

The Windy Crest chips are quite nice, my main issue with most ceramics is that they are too "flashy" looking.

Check this thread for some examples of the hybrids: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...43mm-39mm-three-themes-cash-tournament.23508/

There are a bunch of pictures in the later pages of the thread.

Here are mine from that GB:

You can also check out Sunfly's stock hybrids here for more examples: http://www.apollonchips.com/chipserieslist/apollon-hybrid.html

Very nice. I agree about the flashy look. I prefer a trational look. I already have custom clays and want ceramics for artwork potential as well as they are easier to clean.

I will probably incorporate the logo in my avatar so I'm looking for a design that would compliment that.

Just got my first shuffle stack of GOCC blanks and they are really nice! Great job on those Windy City chips @CraigT78

Windy CREST - it's my street name and no way affiliated with the Windy City of Chicago ;)

Thanks for the compliment - the GOCC samples were my favorite and their print quality is top notch. They were also a pleasure to work with. Their art department helped me adjust one of the colors that wasn't exactly what I wanted in several of my test sample orders with no additional charges. Highly recommend GOCC for anyone in the market for ceramics.

I blame auto-correct ;)
