Huzzah!
We have a very good and close friend who has an education/background in graphic design.
He is in the printing industry, but in the what I call "the lord high mucky muck" levels of the company. (we both worked with/for him at some point for our15+ years in this company)
He does graphic design on the side, (company branding) to keep his creative juices flowing, and has been looking for smaller jobs of late.
We pointed a few PCF'ers his way and they didn't scare him away! He enjoys the challenge chip labels present.
He is not on PCF, and is not a chipper, but he has decades of printing experience, a lot of it working with Gear.
He has the added benefit of having unfettered access to Gear, and being able to talk shop about files, size, fonts, colours, printers, inks, RIPs etc.
Currently, while this is still a side gig, he is only doing design work for labels we print.
Gear is still doing all the tribute/replica label work himself, our friend is more interested in the custom design aspect of this work.
If he makes a change to do this full time, he will hang out a shingle in here at that time.
He is charging $65.00 USD per hour, with a $100.00 minimum. (deposit)
You don't get special queue access by using him. (there are a few customers waiting now)
What you DO get, is that you don't have to pay a set up fee for your custom work if done through him.
Once the first jobs get printed and posted, I will start a thread of just his work to look through.
If you have questions, or want to seek out his services, email: ask@gearlabels.com and I will reply.
