I was behind in the hand? Surely your recollection must be flawed. :p:whistle: :whistling:

Looks like I have a space problem. I scanned all the chips that I've received in the last few months and put them in airtites. Not gonna fit.

Kudos to Jeff for not only having a massive collection, but for putting them in alphabetical order.

Think about it - If someone makes the AAAAArgh! Poker Room limit set, he has to spend 45 minutes shifting every single chip 2 to the right.

There's a ritual for the OCD. Accumulate the chips that belong in each letter of the alphabet on top of the case until you can't take it anymore that there are too many sitting on top. Then you look at the numbers of chips you have to add and figure out the beginning and ending chip in each case. Then you spend whatever time it takes to re-arrange. Simple, right?

Taking my chips out of the drawers and putting them out so I can see them. The new hutch is pretty nice. A little empty on the chips, but I have back ups coming.

The hutch idea is wonderful because you can see everything. The barrister book cases are also nice! They all would allow more storage than my case. It only holds 12,000

It was at FredMyers not sure if your familiar.
Basic all in one stores.

Cool. Yeah I saw this one in store and it looked great. I splurged and got the next shelf up. Fantastic quality wood. I needed 4 adult men to move it.

I need those st.louis chips! Where did you get those.

President Casino on the Admiral St Louis, closed in 2010. Chips are out there, but it would take some hunting. The Plaques were custom made by Matsui, and are on the expensive end of expensive (and that is already taking into account that this can be an expensive hobby). However, this thread will be a most definitive source of information.

Anybody store their chips in an antique cabinet? I am thinking about buying something different for mine.

You can fit 400 chips per drawer in boxes, 200 in racks. I am working on getting 200 per drawer in built racks / drawer.

There are 36 drawers. The drawers are easily interchangeable, so it is good for collecting chips for a future set. They can be grouped and easily moved around.

Not as good to display complete sets.

I'm working on that...

Would love to see more in this thread... what are folks doing for display??

I only keep a single set (CPC customs) "out" 24/7. They sit in a nice wood (cherry?) case on the coffee table. The rest sit in the game library, taking up 2 complete deep shelves. They're really not "on display" though, and depending on which set is hitting the table next, I sometimes have to dig out one set from behind another set.
