I messed up some of my favorite chips because I'm an idiot (1 Viewer)

Ugh, I didnt even think about it but had some chips sitting in a glass on my window sill after clearing off some desk space. Absolutely killed the colors on a couple of them but especially the orange. @Irish was the Battle Royal IV from a different source than the horse heads and A mold? You can also see my CPS red chip stack took a total wash out on the sides.

This is all clearly a sign I need to build custom poker chip display cabinets in my office.

It’s all about proper Broccoli growth… it will give you the mental clarity NOT to melt chips! lol

It happens Jeff, again willing to Bet ole Matty will help replace them! You earned every one of those meet up chips (dealing with Ben in the same basement for a weekend every year)
Hopefully it can all just be a bad dream!

Though they do make display cabinets with UV protectant glass.

Fascinating how on that New Jersey chip, the orange and the yellow faded almost completely, but the blue doesn’t seem to have faded much at all.

Yeah sunlight is kryponite for chips. I had my meetup chips on a basement window, that gets next to zero direct dun, with a frosted/UV screen on the glass, and still noticed a bit of fading. The day glow colors seem to be the most impacted, which is very interesting. I have a few extra of all but last year's (JiJV), remind me next time you're up.

Time to build that custom display case! Sometimes life gives you that extra encouragement you need to get something done. I just got into chips, I appreciate the post. Didn’t know that sunlight could bleed them out like that.
