Whats your favorite coffee? (4 Viewers)

I drink dark roast black and cold, seems like the longer it sits the more oil slick it has on top. That's the good stuff! Also prefer cheap thin filters so some of the grinds sneak through... I know I have issues. They say Death Wish is the strongest in the world and honestly wouldn't mind if it was stronger, but I can say if you drink 2 cups you will be jittery.
 
That is not always true, Death Wish guarantees the strongest caffeine possible out of their coffee, and to call it dark roast is an understatement. It is delightful if you love the strongest crap ever!! Otherwise I would not try it. Also they sell it in Keurig cups, that isn't even half of the flavor you get out of grinding whole beans fresh everyday. Almost like a totally different brand of coffee.

@pltrgyst we are bringing the pot with us and your are welcome to some, just be warned she's strong. Most can't drink it! Lol

Many people Sk me how I get my beard to grow daily... it gets old but now my response is "death wish coffee. Bad discussions and Copenhagen spit, with an occasional dabble of whiskey" lmao

I see it on the shelves but I’ve been drinking light to medium roast since most dark roast aren’t really very good. Some beans benefit from dark roast which makes for a richer cup of coffee but most are roasted beyond dark and are more burnt and bitter. I’ll try the deathwish since I do like a rich dark roast.

The ground available in store is not as smooth of a flavour as the fresh beans. We found that outs it was a huge difference. Come memorial day we can bring some fresh ground for you to try
 
I've gotten spoiled. I bought myself a Breville Barista Express -$600ish about 2 yrs ago. If you like any sort of coffee made with espresso I would highly recommend this one. It consistently gets mentioned in just about every "best of" list and I would agree that it lives up to the hype.

I would go as far as saying that if someone broke into my house and stole everything, this would be one of my first purchases. It makes just about any coffee taste great!

I absolutely agree on most Coffee Joey I have found many dark roast to taste gross, bitter and weird finishing flavors. With death wish it has none of those, just a strong natural coffee flavor, absolutely exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want all those weird flavors or the burnt tire taste. This coffee is simply amazing and I absolutely recommend trying it, but ye be warned... it is a lot of caffeine! I drank energy drinks for years and never felt that caffeine jitters like I do with Death Wish and I drink it everyday. No more energy drinks, just a subscription to DW is all I need! Also don't be mad at me if all regular coffee sucks once you start drinking this stuff! Lol

The flavor of a dark roasted coffee is a lot more dependent on the skill of the roaster and the age of the coffee than the variety of coffee you're drinking.

Buy fresh, quality dark roast and you'll more easily avoid those crappy flavors.

Or going a step further, find a quality dark roast and blend it with a medium roast coffee with the origin / flavor profile you prefer. Play with the ratio until you're dialed in on something you can reproduce reliably. Vary the medium roast selection over time to keep your taste buds involved...

I mix my favorite medium roast Starbucks blend (usually with notes of chocolate and various fruits) with the death wish
