I have a Twitch channel already. Problem is I can't game and stream at the same time in good quality with my current system
Have a quad core i5-7600k with an 8gb gtx 1080
Was looking at the 12-core Ryzen 3900x
The 3090 is a 3 slot card for F's sake. That's just overkill. Then again, still no setup can play Metro maxed out. So maybe this finally does it?Lol, just saw that in a facebook group yesterday
Nvidia just announced their 3000 series upcoming releases
RTX 3090 - 24GB for $1,499
RTX 3080 - 10GB for $699
RTX 3070 - 8GB for $499
I still need to wait for Ryzens new launch, as my quad-core cpu is the biggest issue.
For the GPU probably leaning towards the 3080, but we'll see how the cards fall when I buy. Would be pretty badass to get a 3090

I'll just sit in my corner playing my games at 1080/60 and being perfectly happy.Just saw a rumor that 3070 Ti with 16gb and 3080 Ti with 20GB are in the pipeline as well
Also, there's nothing more American than overconsumption!

my 970 is still cranking along nicely after 5 and a half years!
Slide jump every damn door and corner. Haven't gotten much Warzone in since I've been without video games for some time now, but Blackout was also fun to grab a sniper, helicopter to the tippy top of the ship or windmills, and laydown. Can't snipe so I I never won that way, but was always fun to watch people running and looking every direction while I missed time and time again. My 8GB GTX 1080 works great, but I'm on a big monitor (over 30") and at 1440p. Although when I build the new system I'll likely get a monitor with a better refresh rate for gaming, but still 1440p.
The biggest issue is my CPU, it's just not strong enough to game and stream together while pushing a high quality stream. So getting a 12-core or higher CPU should alleviate that. If that new system can handle it all at once, great. If not, I can keep my old system and use it as a dedicated stream box and would just need to get a capture card to tie them together.
Made a new meme today. Playing COD Warzone solos, everyone is always obsessed with their kill rate. That's pointless, the whole idea is to finish in 1st place out of 150 players. You don't even have to kill ANYONE if the encroaching gas gets the last guy. I've finished in the top 10 and top 5 many times (usually with anywhere from 2-6 kills) but yesterday pulled off my first 2nd place which felt good.
But essentially the solos game is hide n' seek with guns for sure

You will like the ryzen cpu's. I was an Intel guy for a long time, have the same i5 as you in one of my comps. Made the move to ryzen 3rd gen last year and I'm hooked. Great price to performance for those ryzen 3rd gen chips. Ram was a bit picky but do your homework and the right ram will increase performance. The 4th gen coming soon, maybe October. I still go with NVIDIA for gpu, I tried the RX 5700 xt and it was crazy good but ran very hot to the point that it was not stable out of the box on Borderlands 3, WoW, and CoD. I had to keep adjusting it, great software for that but I just wanted to play. I tried a few brands and they all had the same heat issues, msi, powercolor, xfx, sapphire, you name it. Switched to a 2070 super and its been smooth sailing, can't even get this thing hot. I wish I waited on the 2070 super to see what the next gen looks like but I was using a 780 ti so it was time. The 2070 super does out preform my 1080 (non ti) by a decent amount so I'm glad I got it but now with a 1080 and a 2070 super in my two computers I can't justify an upgrade. Wish i never sold my 1080ti, that was a great card. Interested to see what you put together.
I almost went with the 5700, but read about all the issues it had. Great price to performance though. I was on a tight budget and ended up with an i5 and 1660ti. less powerful for sure, but since I don't really care about gaming above 1080 or 60fps, I didn't need to worry about potentially breaking my budget. You will like the ryzen cpu's. I'm looking at a 10gb 3080 minimum, but if rumors are true about a 16gb 3070 Ti (which just seems weird for a card in the 7's to be greater than the 8's) I may bite the bullet with a 3090
I had been looking at the Ryzen 3900x 12-core, but waiting for their 4000 series to drop and will get something comparable or greater
The 3900x is great but we are so close to the 4th gen you have to wait. I don't think the 3070ti will disappoint you, gonna be a beast, I cant imagine what the 3090 will be like.
The 3070 Ti is just a rumor at 16gb, bit I would probably feel salty buying a 10gb 3080 only to have a 3070 Ti outperform it later
I have not played an FPS on PC in a decade, was actually curious as to the difference. I always thought that it's exponentially more difficult on console, primarily because of aiming. Is this a misnomer? (So much so that I always avoided PC as it didn't seem to "pure" or take much skill. I look forward to trying it out though now.)Either way, it felt pretty good to get over that hump. My K/D is still 0.5 though, so got a ways to go to improve that number. Also just changed the setting for Crossplay enabled, will see how it is playing with only PC players next time instead of aim-assisted console players.
