Sometimes, short words can be significantly harder than long ones, even when you have a strong starting guess:

I call that "the rhyme trap". Example:

TIGHT

Say you've got four guesses left, so you burn them on

FIGHT
RIGHT
SIGHT
MIGHT

but alas, it was actually

BIGHT or
WIGHT or
LIGHT or
NIGHT

and so you've fallen into the trap. Should have used more guesses on words like FIRMS and BLOWN in order to search for the single missing letter.

I start with ADIEU which picks out the vowels needed. Then use STORM to grab main consonants I usually get it on the 3 try at most

Starter after seing this thread the other day. Got todays in 3 attempts. Fun game. I like the fact that it's one a day. It's nice to be able to take a decent amount of time to figure out some good guesses that make sense.
