Wordle is a fun Scrabble / Boggle -type logic game, just bought by the New York Times for low 7-figures. There is one puzzle a day that everyone plays at the same time in a shared experience, identifying a simple five letter word. From your first guess of a real word, black means that letter isn’t in the word, yellow means the letter is part of the word, and green means the letter is in the correct place. It looks like win streaks and attempts needed to solve the puzzle are tracked. So who else is playing?

I don't know whether the author of the original has since made an app, but I don't think he has. So all the apps are clones of the original idea, and may or may not match the original's specifications.

You just killed all the casual users of the "app". That so many casuals play and inundate my facebook feed with their results is the only reason I know about it and play it.

@CrazyEddie I thought you were going with either a word that was uncommon or contained rarer letters…then was stumped when I got all the letters because I couldn’t decipher…so went to try to get a few letters in the right spot with the second last guess…then it clicked!
