What video games are you playing? (21 Viewers)

Have built in an hour or two post kids/wife bedtime this past week.

20 years of games to catch up on and there’s what seems like infinite free games between our PS, Xbox, Nintendo subscriptions - many of them blockbuster AAA titles.

Was split between Legend of Dragoon replay, Skyrim, TLoU, red dead redemption, and the Witcher.

Lmao somehow I ended up on Dave the diver. Not quite the extreme in depth open world adventure I originally was planning on doing, but for an end of the day everyone’s in bed turn your brain off and chhhiiillllllllll, it works.

In a week or two I’ll move to a gamers game.

I was very competitive in this years ago, that was my crew's covid game. Rank 1 on both sides, mean killer. Cant be bothered to keep up anymore though, rank resets hit and it's not worth grinding past the smoothbrains in low ranks
I've been addicted the past few months, Laurie Stroud level 61 ha ha, Im sick!!! Some big quest event been going on that Im grinding

Finally figured out to switch to the King of the Hill gameplay mode in Delta Force. Fits with my style of play (engineer, vehicles, more like playing the old 64-player large conquest maps in Battlefield 3 and 4)

Had to carry a bunch of fucking scrubs to victory, but with any luck I'll finally get my ass to Marshall rank this season

Still playing Masters Golf by EA sports.

Into my 6th season with the player I’ve built up. I’ve won all the tournaments, and majors, EXCEPT for the titled Masters. I can’t seem to take it down

I’ve at best, finished 13th. Took me 5 seasons to even make the cut.

Augusta is legit HARD AF to play. Great golf game BTW.

Legend of Dragoon still be hitting yo.

It’s amazing the storytelling they were able to create way back when it was just polygons and muffled sounds, all on a disk.

I know this is a heavy pc group, so I’m sorry, but PS1 the goat.

(edit - oh and the dopest menu and general music
but all the backtracking!

Still playing Kingdom Come Deliverance II, and will likely be spending the rest of the year on it. #1 took a good 3 or 4 months of play to complete. In short you continue with the same character but events in #2 (de-level) your character back to level 5 having to regain experience in all areas again.

If you enjoyed the Witcher, and an unapologetic story this is an epic rpg for you. I highly recommended playing #1 before #2. The game is hard, combat takes time to learn. Best game is have played in years, maybe ever.

The quests are epic and unparalleled such as

And more heroic epics.

It's on my list for sure, as I absolutely loved The Witcher 3 (after hating Witcher 2 because of quicktime events early that made me uninstall)

But still have a ton of games to get through, so it'll be awhile before I get to KCD2.

I am closing in on the highest rank this season though, looking like I'll hit Marshall finally in Delta Force. Just had a match where my team was getting ROFLSTOMPED by enemy vehicles, but I hoped out there, countered the shit out of them, started dropping respawn beacons at crucial flags and managed to pull us from the jaws of defeat and get the highest score out of the 64 players in the match

My back aches from carrying

My team fucking sucked and we were getting absolutely raped by enemy choppers and vehicles.

I tried my best in the LAV to take out two choppers but was getting hit from behind by enemy vehicles too.

Once I got in the attack chopper I managed to take down both other choppers AND the enemy LAV solo, felt fucking good, even if we lost the match, I was again the highest scorer.

And I FINALLY reached Marshall, I feel like I can rest now.

Did I mention how much my back is aching? Switching to King of the Hill has been a great change and I'm just dominating on maps where I know which key points to hold while letting the enemy hold the furthest "trap" flags that put them too far away to effectively assault the clustered ones.

I'm finally having fun with this damned game

Still playing Blizzard's semi-defunct MOBA "Heroes of the Storm". It actually has a fair sized player base to this day.... nothing akin to its competitors though.

I can't make myself play LoL or Dota2 given the heavy toxicity I experienced there.

I wish Bliz would reinvest in and revitalize HoTS.

Just downloaded Risk Global Domination and been getting my ass handed to me (I blame the RNG!)

And Jenn just said "now you need to get Sneaky Hitler"

I respond "It's Secret Hitler"

And she says "WHATEVER!"

I kinda like "sneaky" hitler lol

Didn't get any of my pre-orders filled and drove around to about 12 stores this morning and went to #13, which was the final stop. Boom! They had one on a floor randomly no one had seen somehow so I snatched it and drove home. Been playing MKW most of the day and very pleased with it. Will be playing some Totk and BOTW soon.

Finally got my Switch 2 as well and got right into playing MKW. Loving the game so far. However, there was one thing I noticed that I don't like, and hopefully Nintendo patches it (doubt it.) When you're going from one track to the next, it counts as the SECOND LAP. So the first and final tracks are essentially teasers. I wish you would do three laps in each track and THEN drive to the next course and do 3 laps there. Missed opportunity by Nintendo.

Woah, that's been dead to me, but I loved some HoTS. Diablo/Zagara main for a while with some friends. Its pretty good to hear it still has players though. Haven't thought about that in a long time. This is the 100% wrong time for me to be downloading a game, I might reinstall after the 20th lol, thanks for the memories.

0 try hard, 0 micro, 0 focus fire. Never ranked that well, but always well over 50% win rate so at least it's easy and enjoyable.

I can't recall any of it, but I remember being excited about Heroes of the Storm and playing a touch.

I do Hearthstone, and their shrinkflation has been incredibly horrid. Blizzard had to have been one of the most player friendly companies and beloved 2 decades ago, and since then have followed every other company into absolute max profit. I've been playing HStone for what feels like a decade, and they've decimated it to the point where pay to play (and I already pay) has killed off 2/3 of the game modes.

I don't think I've EVER liked any game as much as the original Dota custom maps, I believe Dota 3.7 was most popular? Nothing better than a tele/kill with either healer. It was an amazing social game as well. Anytime I was support I would immediately give up all gold/resources, and if the other team wasn't doing the same it was almost guaranteed win (at least for our creeping/shared lane).

I think competitive esports has absolutely ruined the landscape. I don't see ANY benefit from it at all - studio perspective or just lil ol me at home perspective.

What I wouldn't give to be playing through Diablo II or Starcraft or Dota for the first time again.....
