What video games are you playing? (26 Viewers)

I'm having the biggest downswing with my gaming PC now. I had a really old CPU, the 7700k - so 7 years old. The 3080 has carried more than its weight so it hasn't been a problem but as CP2077 has been patched my FPS has decreased since the 1.5 release and with the last DLC it's been unbearable with CPU at 100% and GPU at 20-30% so it was time for an upgrade.

Landed on the AMD 7600X a new mobo and RAM. When I got the parts and started the heart surgery, I realized that I've thrown away the AMD brackets for my CPU cooler. It only cost like £5 on amazon.co.uk but freight was £15 and then 25% tax on top of that, yay. Then I got the backets but there were no screws. So talked to my friend and he had lots at his work and they use Intel so I could get some from there. That in place, I continue the surgery only to discover that my PSU only has 1xCPU power outlet (it was also 7 years old) and AM5 cards needs 2. No worries, I could get a used one from my friends work so next day I get that and hook it up. Turn it on and *poff*. Also smoke from the mobo. Yay. Dissemble everything again, get the mobo out and it's fried on the underside.

The PSU is rarely faulty so I'm not sure if it was just an unlucky mobo but they usually test those before shipping so I'm not sure what's going on. Also the PSU was from the "tested - ok" pile from my friend's work so I test the "new" PSU with the old intel mobo and it loudly objected as well so it was the PSU. Sent the mobo back as RMA (although it was the PSU's fault) but forgot to remove the M.2 bootdisk that holds everything including all my TD files. Sent a mail and told them I want the M.2 back but I still have to wait for the RMA to processed and then returned to me. Yay.

Ordered a new mobo while waiting for the repair as well as a new PSU. Got the new mobo and PSU and hooked everything up again, powered it up and the self-test indicates "CPU fail or not detected" and "RAM fail or not detect". Great so both cpu and ram got fried as well. Yay.

Finally today I sent in cpu and ram for rma and I managed to use the same freightlabel as I used on the mobo so God knows what will happen to that package. Yay.
 
I bounce between Vigor, COD and Fortnite depending on which of my friends I'm playing with. I'll eventually set some solo time aside for Star Wars Outlaws. Curious about this Balatro everyone is talking about.
 
Been playing COD BO6. Haven't totally made up my mind yet, but so far mediocre. Does not compare to Cold War.
 
I'm a long time Dragon Quest fan. I've played every mainline entry since the first multiple times. I picked up the Dragon Quest III HD 2D remake. And on top of that I had bad sinus infection during the weekend I got it. 42 hours later, I had finished it and all the post game.

It's not going to topple DQXI as my favorite DQ game, but it's solidly my 2nd favorite.
 
I'm back replaying Xcom 2: War of the Chosen.

The voice acting, musical score and visual immersion for a turn-based tactical combat game where you lead Earths resistance against Alien occupiers is top-notch and still holds up.

The game where, just like the river, 85% chances for you seem like 50%, and so do 15% chances for the enemy.

Dragon Quest VIII will always be #1 to me. DQXI was very fun as well and easily runner-up.

Only have one deck left to go in Balatro and then they've all been beaten on Gold Stake. Then the grind for all the gold stickers on all the jokers can begin!

Path of Exile 2 has early access next week and I'm pretty sure I'll be taking the plunge. And if @Anthony Martino wants to float me $480 for the fanciest support pack, I wouldn't say no! https://pathofexile2.com/buy-packs

Always been hooked on Star Wars Battlefront 2. I play with a really great group who makes it fun.

Wish they would hurry up and release the James Bond game they announced forever ago.

Just gave it a try today (GOG version, classic 2005).
Setting up the XBOX controller was straightforward. Just did the training, looks fun.
 
Space Marine 2 is my current obsession.

Warzone on Friday nights if we don't have a poker night planned.

Just started replaying the Final Fantasy series on gameboy. My goal is to finish 1-6 before spring.

On gameboy? The pixel remaster series is out on every platform and are pretty much the definitive versions.

I have all of the original games. My wife also gave me an Analogue Pocket for an early Xmas gift, otherwise I would have just purchased the versions for the switch.
 
All decks have been beaten on Gold Stake in Balatro! Now to fight through all the Gold Stickers on all jokers!
 
I didn't get this until I saw it on sale on Steam yesterday, but after about 24 hours I finally got one

While I am still new to this game, it definitely seems like a crap shoot about what jokers are available from run to run and a lot of runs seem to have jokers available that will absolutely not help you
 
Been grinding New World. Also bought a steam deck for travel and couch gaming. Been playing a bunch of Brotato on that
