@k9dr Sophie had to choose which one of her two children to surrender to the gas chamber.
In much more friendly and luxurious terms, which sets (the rest of them) would you send to a shredder, to keep just one?

CPC sets are personal. There are many I prefer, and some that I don't. There are not any I would send to the shredder.

Perfectly understandable and agreed.
I just hinted (without wanting to be a PITA or something) that using the Sophie's Choice example was a rather bad idea.
The woman (if you 've watched the film) had to choose which one of her two children to send to death. It's quite clear that she loved both of them.

I voted. And, in fact, had decided prior to opening up the thread and seeing who started it.

Colors and spots are totally bonkers and there are few single chips that I've seen that even rival the coolness of Pieces of Eight.

I like P&P no doubt but the greatest custom set of all time belongs to Mark @toad94 Silver Dust Casino is without peer. Huge, many chips, each complete individual custom inlay. This will never be topped. Change my mind.

I voted, giving the nod to Puggy's Colony Clubs.

The only negative I see to the Pillage and Plunder chips is the use of both white and black inlays. While I generally love black inlays, I'd have preferred this set with all whites.

Anyway, along with Courage's set, my three favorites all-time ASM/CPC custom sets.

Forgot I made this thread LOL

Didn’t start the thread for “praise”, just thought it was a funny giveaway but thanks for the comments!

Funny enough I actually agree with some of the criticisms... the two color inlays even bother me. Being CPC inlays pop off rather easily I’ve even considered (briefly, but considered) choosing one or the other and relabeling the other side. But that’ll never happen, I prefer half the chips using white and half using black :D

Biggest pet peeve I have other than the multicolored inlays are the quarters have dirty stack potential with the $5. If I ever do a single table secondary set the flag .50s will become the official primary frac and the quarters will move to the secondary set (traditional colors, actually have had a mock-up I’ve been almost entirely happy with for a year or so so could happen ;) ).

No real criticisms with your set, It's very nice and there are some killer chips in it. There's a reason why it went in the HoF on the first ballot. But to me the top 3 are @Mr Tree The Hitching Post original cash set, @abby99 Lady Luck, and @Redbelly tourney set.

I voted. Pillage and Plunder is an inspiration and among the very best. Great timeless theme, good design and wonderful colors. A couple of the chips could compete for best individual chip. Actually, I especially like one of the simpler chips, namely the quarter.

Voted! As others have said, it's the custom sets that really show the creativity of this community. There's a few CPC sets that come to mind when thinking of all-time great sets, and this one is right up there in terms of that.
