Cash Game What Does 1/2/5 mean? (1 Viewer)

I have just heard 3 methods of calculating "pot" so I assume there is no standard.

The basic rule would be every chip in the pot counts as is.

Another widely used rule is the small blind counts as complete giving the opener a clean multiple of the big blind. (4x total)

And now what I am learning today that you can play the odd chips below the workhorse get rounded up.

I assume all of these formats can vary from house to house.

here in Cleveland time rake starts at $5/10 and higher. The main table on the weekends will often switch to $5/10 because it is cheaper than the rake. Especially if there are no high hand promos going on. The casino takes $2/hand for promo and time raked games don’t get it taken out.

How much is time charge? Since in Minnesota they are only doing 6 max they have switched the bigger games to time, 10/player/30 minutes.

$7 or 8/per down (1/2 hour). But it could have gone up. Since my game has been running so often I rarely played at the casino in the last year.

The 2/5 PLO with a $10 rock in Tampa is $7 every dealer down (30 minutes) even when the game came back 6 handed

The regularly raked games (like 1/2 PLO) are $5 max plus $2 jackpot drop

Every game I play in, we complete all partials before calculating pot.

Cincinnati has a $5 bring in in 1-2 PLO. One thing it does is eliminate white chips in the pot. They don't play at all. Only way they end up in the pot is if a player doesn't complete their blind. The game isn't listed as 1-2-5, though...just 1-2.

Columbus, on the other hand, has "true" 1-2 PLO. No bring in.

Ruggles (poker clubs in Cincinnati and Dayton) have "true" 2-2 PLO.
