I tried to make the different two crowds meet at .50/.50 but it was rough for the old crew, who wouldn't read anything and considered poker just fun.
I have ever since tried to separate the two crowds (old friends not interested in reading any poker theory but rather interested in booze) from well-read poker aficionados (some of them casino regulars or semi-pros, although they would vehementlly deny the latter title).
So, 1/2 or 1/3 dimes for old friends (much better than .25/.25)
or Half/One Euros for the serious crowd.
The fateful PLO should not be played for more than .50/.50 in that context.
