I'll say it again...
PCF never disappoints
PCF never disappoints
Wait, what?As someone who has recently taken on HUGE RISK that took a GARGANTUAN EFFORT and a MASSIVE amount of TIME to be in a position to bring chips to this community and individuals outside it for PROFIT, I'm still aware of how I may be perceived by some etc.
Yeah super cool read and the photos, can't wait!
Its only just getting started!Yeah super cool read and the photos, can't wait!

Amazing story-telling!
Justin didn't create the design but he's allowed to do business with chips right? Yeah he is. Nobody in the For Sale ad asks the designers and suppliers how they feel about resale. It's all untitled chattel personal. We're all pretty free to do what we want with the chips we buy.You don't even convince yourself. I find it hard to believe what I'm reading. Is today April Fool's Day? Please close the door on your way out.
If you want to do business with chips, the least you can do is create your own design and find a supplier. The least you can do is ask the people who created this magnificent project.
I'm just as new as you, and you don't represent us, newbies. The first thing I did when I arrived at the forum was read hundreds of threads, and the last thing I would do is exactly what you did. Just today I was reading a thread where they talked about the forum's drift. Apparently, with the arrival of Tina chips, many people are coming in just to buy them, but your situation is much worse. Not because you want to deliver quality chips to people who don't know them, but because you want to do business secretly and treacherously.
That said, I'm nobody to blame you for anything, but your attempt at justification (which is more focused on self-justification) has made me almost more angry than the fact of seeing the ads.
Finally. Something I can't argue with.

If you think I'm doing business secretly and treacherously you didn't read the thread carefully. I tossed up the eBay listing as a goof. Evidenced that I have 1 sale on eBay in 22 years. I'm not a flipper. No business was conducted because I sold nothing. If I wanted to do business secretly and treacherously I could've kept the listings up? Once I saw it was mentioned here I said "Yo it's me" and the post was down. I wasn't caught. Nobody knew it was me.
Thank you, I have created my own designs and resold them already. They were designed and ordered and sold and paid for before they were in my possession. Just like Justin sells to PCF members before they're in his possession. Just like I attempted to do with eBay listing. You're drawing an arbitrary line because 1 person I know IRL and another I could meet through eBay.
I agree that I could've and, based on the reactions here, should've asked @Cratty and @justincarothers . I never thought they'd care. Don't you think Justin would be thrilled to sell 50k chips 1 user? I never would expose him to customer service issues or shipping drama my "business" could've introduced. If I was to breakup my order and have him ship directly heck yeah he'd have to know about it. But I'll admit it was oversight. I'm sure we'd talk about it eventually (as you can tell I'm a chatty guy).
I agree. I don't appreciate "forum drift". There would be less drift if people could get Tinas elsewhere, like on eBay. Tinas brought me here (Mirage specifically).
I cleaned my first Paulsons yesterday and will make two new contributions to chip-guide shortly. I've recently posted a case setup with Pelican 1300 which hasn't been shown here. I'm organizing a group buy. I was and am demonstrating my bona fides as a decent and contributing member of the community, this faux pax notwithstanding.
I agree. I don't represent noobies.
Self justification? "You don't even convince yourself."
I'm certain, I'm convinced, I did nothing wrong legally or ethically in grand scheme of morals followed by societal norms. We all pay for things after countless middlemen take a cut. We all have traded our time and effort for money. What I will freely admit is that each community has its own standards. That is where my mistake was. I didn't consider how this community would react to the eBay post. As mentioned in original post. When I first posted the ad I thought I'd be posting it for lolz in the guessing thread in a few days and have a chuckle. Once I left it up I never did consider how it would be perceived.
The community draws its lines arbitrarily and that's it's right. I can argue with sound logic the line should be moved or shouldn't apply or there's a hypocrisies afoot as I have above. But in the end, it doesn't matter, it's for the community to decide. That's why I said "Yo it's me" and the listing came down.
No. When I look it says "renew listing" I thought that meant it timed out. I'll kill it. I haven't sold anything there either!Facebook Marketplace ad is still up though...maybe you forgot to delete it?

Plenty of people just want to pay for expertise
The value I'm adding to the general public on eBay is:
a) Counseling on chip breakdown for their games / tournament structure of choice - of which I spent hours on PCF yesterday before placing my Tangiers GB order because I'm not a tournament guy.

Is that one of those harmless ceramic stolen molds?
That's obviously a ceramic, why say stolen? Is that one of those harmless ceramic stolen molds?

100%Anyone who is supposedly part of the chipping community should be PO'd by this kind of shenanigans. One hell of a ROI.![]()
"On the flip side"...100%
On the flip side though……….this “community” did it to itself.![]()
Some of us have been calling it out for years.Anybody doing anything about it?
Hah. I tried that first and couldn't find it. I'll look again.IMO - Don't think additional listings are necessary.. This just feels like a perfect use of the report feature. These types of listings aren't allowed. Even if the sale went through, the buyer has massive grounds on a dispute/refund.
