Here are my Blue THC $1s for my limit set. Not as complete as the others. The Lake Elsinore's and the Ho Chunks have substitute fillers at the bottom. It's a work in progress. Eventually will replace the Syuans and the Lake Elsinores hopefully with Kelly's Cardroom and 4 Queens, but maybe something else.

Final group of my mixed limit set, white THC. So many good white THC $1s out there, this might be constantly changing and updating as I pick up chips for harder to complete barrels. This is the way it currently looks.

This is what it will be but I just have partials of a lot of the barrels.

I like the mixed barrel project limit set, keeps me always looking and buying, but doing so at pretty small amounts, makes it reasonable.

Is there some sort of voodoo going on in this pic? Why does the $500 chip look like it's 43mm, but has the THC mold?

I just flipped through this thread and noticed that there are very few THC mixed sets here using a white $1. I’m toying with the idea of going mixed with this set, as I just don’t enjoy the $1 all that much.

They are casino used, so I could harvest some Horsehoe Tunica $1’s, but they have a label that just doesn’t jive that well.

Anyone have any suggestions? I’ve seen the Harrah’s Joliet $1’s that seem like a decent option. Is there anything other than unobtainium (Aztar) with a red denom?

Aztar sec $1s aren’t impossible. @grandmeme found 2 racks via wanted ad recently. Aztar primary $1s are out there and cheap. Horseshoe Cleveland $1s also. There’s always Tiger pri $1 before you into the expensive options.

Too pricey/nice for this set, though, tigers too. I’d want to build a whole new set around premium chips like those .

Could just be that the Horseshoe Tunica’s wind up being the best bet for condition/price considerations, since I can just go grab them at the poker room.

Are the Aztar THC $1 primaries actually easy to get/cheap? Idk if I’ve ever seen any pop up. Always see the secondaries.

Those can be had fairly cheaply as singles, but building racks from singles is anything but cheap or easy. I built a barrel once. There's definitely a PCFer who I think it close to finishing his second rack of these, but I'm not sure of his name.

I didn’t think so. I saw Gorbash had a wanted ad out for them at some point and knew that wasn’t going to fly.

I’ve got 2 racks of Aztar $1 pri, 2 racks horseshoe Cleveland, 1 rack Aztar sec $1, and 2 racks Tiger $1. Can post a pic later tonight.

Aren't the chips you have leaded? If you grab Tunicas off the table, I assume they won't be leaded.

Another option on the heavier side of not leaded is Silver Sevens. You should be able to find them at around $3-400 per rack. I think mine are in the 9.4-9.6g range.

Mixed Sets used to be all the rage at PCF, so much so that this is still a pinned pron showcase thread. Would be nice to see them make a bit of a comeback, especially in the current chipping market.

Anyway, while most could use a clean/oil to get some of the chalk off and really pop, here's an all x14 set with my favorite progression of 414-3d14-4d14-3ta14:

Were those FLV $10s? Such a great chip, such a worthless denomination, better use here, well done.

But, not sure if it qualifies as a "mixed set", maybe the quarters make it a mixed set. Look like a very well done relabeled set to me.

Yeah, that sounds right.

There is another Paulson home set that wasted a great chip on poor denomination.

Viva Las Vegas $50 was what I was thinking of.
